Hi all! My name is Adrian E. Schwarz and I'm currently based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I work as a director/producer on documentaries and educational videos. I studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design with a focus on narrative filmmaking and then I did news camera training in New York with AP and CBS cameramen. After earning degrees in Media Communications and Spanish at North Carolina State University in 2004, I began my career in video production working as an editor and camera operator on a cooking show in Raleigh, NC.In 2005, I moved to Charleston, SC where I began working as an editor and producer for Litton Entertainment (now known as Hearst Media). Over the course of several years, I worked on a variety of nationally televised docu-reality TV series, including Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan: Family Edition, Calling Dr. Pol, The Brady Barr Experience, The Great Doctor Scott, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Hidden Heroes, Exploration with Richard Weise, Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller, and Hometeam. In 2011, I founded Palmetto Coast Media and began creating videos for businesses and events all over Charleston. In 2012, we co-created, co-produced, directed, filmed and edited a docu-reality TV series called “Give Me Shelter,” featuring the Charleston-based animal shelter Pet Helpers. The series aired on Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo, Hulu and Animal Planet in over 100 countries. In 2019, a promo video we created for Pet Helpers was voted by locals as Best Locally Produced Video in Charleston City Paper. It has been an exciting journey to work with so many incredible clients and partners over these past 12 years!

I am a storyteller. As a child I was drawn to cartoons and comics. As I matured, so did my interests. Through high school I poured my passion into illustration and writing. Once in college I discovered graphic design, animation, videography and editing. This became my new venue of choice for telling stories. I worked for a video production company for 3+ years before making the jump to Capstrat, a great ad agency. After 8+ wonderful years with Capstrat I decided to challenge myself in a new role with Duke University. After 3 years with Duke I have set out to build my own business. I am an experienced photojournalist and video journalist who recently left a staff position with the St. Paul Pioneer Press in Minnesota to move to Durham, North Carolina and begin a freelance business. I excel at storytelling and have shot and edited about 150 two-minute video shorts for an online news website. I work quickly and collaboratively and can produce high quality video for a variety of clients and news organizations. I have a master's degree in photography from Ohio University and a bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology from the University of Virgina. In addition, during my 27 years with the Pioneer Press and TwinCities.com I attended many professional workshops. Hello, My name is Jay James and I've been working in the visual medium for more than 6 years. My main skill is boom operator, sound recording and when it is needed I can do Foley. It all began with assisting my videographer friend on commercial jobs for businesses around North Carolina. It was just simple grip work but I enjoyed being apart of the projects. Eventually my same friend began to do documentaries and later feature films, which is where I started to help with sound. To date I have assisted in capturing audio for seven featured films for him. Along the way I have worked on other feature films, corporate projects and commercials. Because of these opportunities I am able to own all my equipment and be proficient in using it. I really look forward in joining the Storyhunter community and sharing my talent.

I'm a photojournalist at a tv news station in Charleston, SC. I've been preparing to go on my own for the last year and now that time is drawing near. I prefer feature stories about individuals that are stories of hope, endurance, strength of character or inspiration. I love stories about people who go at it alone, or maybe they've stepped away from the noise to find peace in a strange or different kind of hobby or a profession. To find these types of stories, it requires me to engage people all types of people. When I load my gear back into my truck and drive back to edit, sometimes I can't drive fast enough, dreamimg of weaving together a story that people will love and be touched by. At the moment, the files that I have attached were done with a reporter that I work with; soon only my solo work will be posted.

Roxanne R Campbell is a visual artist, native of Kingston, Jamaica, raised in Brooklyn, New York. Campbell as a MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, concentration cinematography, from the University of Virginia. Her documentary work is often observational and explores the representation of African and Afro-Caribbean culture and identity, by counter-framing accepted narratives of the African Diaspora in the Americas. Her project Color Bar, is an interview-driven documentary project that examines concepts of race and masculinity in relation to Black identity - in particular, labels and stereotypes associated with skin tone.

Ive been telling stories for as long as I can remember. Ive crafted narratives through painting, told tales through music and songwriting and chronicled the voices of local artists, farmers, and activists through writing. My muse remains the same: everyday, ordinary people doing the best they can to make a difference in their communities. Ive been telling their stories for over 14 years.
