I am an Italy-born freelance multimedia journalist based in Brooklyn, NY. I've covered various national stories for Fusion TV and the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange, shooting and editing video news stories and short documentaries. I covered the Dakota Access Pipeline controversy in 2016, self-producing an award winning 16-minute documentary. I covered the construction of the southern leg of the same pipeline in the swamps of Louisiana, shooting and editing a short documentary for Fusion TV. I covered many Black Lives Matter protests around the country. I produced video stories following the acquittal of officers involved in Freddie Gray's death. I spent my childhood building robots and playing bike tag in the streets of Brooklyn, New York. I went on to study Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University where my senior thesis, “Camera Stabilization with a Stewart Platform”, won the Enoch J. Durbin Prize in engineering innovation. After graduating from college, I moved back home to Brooklyn to pursue my passion for filmmaking. I studied writing, directing, and cinematography at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and made several award winning short films, both as a director and a cinematographer. Alex H. Gómez is the Founder, Creative Director, and Director of Photography of Intercultural Productions, a production company specializing in culturally appropriate media. He is a native Colombian and has been in the film and journalism fields for over twenty-five years. Alex is an award-winning documentary director whose work has been shown internationally. In Colombia, he worked as a producer and documentary director at TelePacifico. Although his work covered diverse areas concerning the lives of Colombians, much of it centered on indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities in order to raise awareness about their lives, perspectives, and hopes for the future. After moving to the US, Alex created Intercultural Productions as a way to break down barriers between different cultures and groups of people and use communications tools for promoting equity and understanding. Alex holds a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and social issues and it permeates through everything he does. Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Universidad del Valle in Colombia and a Masters of Communication and Education from 
the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona in Spain. He has taught Hispanic culture at the High School and University level and gives lectures to Universities and organizations on the topic as well. I'm a film director and editor for social documentary and narrative projects worldwide. I freelance for several television production companies in Haiti, Colombia and Guatemala. I am the creative director of Gabriel Films, documentary production company in New York, where I reside. I work since 2010 in Haiti, where I trained a local team of audio-visual production. With his team, I have produced over 65 short documentaries for the work of NGOs in the country and now I'm carrying the first season of a television series called "A FOREST GROWTH IN HAITI". Crystal Kayiza grew-up in Oklahoma and is now a Brooklyn-based documentary filmmaker and 2018 Sundance Ignite Fellow. Her work focuses on pursuing more nuanced and diverse storytelling about Black communities. She is a recipient of the 2017 Jacob Burns Film Center Woman Filmmaker Fellowship. As a Woman Filmmaker Fellow she directed and produced, Edgecombe, a short documentary examining the ways trauma repeats and reinvents itself in a rural Black community in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. After graduating from Ithaca College in 2015 with a degree in Documentary Studies and Production, Crystal spent two years at the ACLU working on racial justice and criminal justice issues. Her documentary work and writing has been featured in The Nation, Scalawag Magazine and OkayAfrica. She received a Heartland Emmy Award in 2012 for her film All That Remains, which profiles Boley, Oklahoma, one of the nation's last all-Black towns.

I'm a video director, editor, and motion graphics artist based in the Boston area. In the past I've worked for Brafton, a content marketing agency in Downtown Boston with clients all over the country. I currently work full time for the Harvard Kennedy School as a video producer and editor. (And I also do some freelancing, hence why I am here!) In my time at Brafton and Harvard, I've had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects. Melissa is an award-winning documentary filmmaker originally from the Caribbean island of Antigua. Throughout her career in NYC, Melissa has worked with award-winning documentary filmmakers including Ralf Schmerberg at Radical Media, Academy Award nominated directors Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady at Loki Films, and Academy Award winning director Alex Gibney at Jigsaw Productions. She co-produced episodes of the Emmy-nominated television documentary series MAKERS for PBS and Nine for IX for ESPN. She has produced behind-the-scenes content for AMC’s Original Series Hell On Wheels and Low Winter Sun. In Antigua, she founded and ran her own production company, and later worked as a freelance production manager on advertising campaigns for H&M and Malibu Rum. Melissa was also supervising producer on “Me on My TV”, an 8-part documentary series broadcasting on the cable network FLOW in Spring/Summer 2017. Melissa directed and produced the feature-length documentary, Silent Music, a portrait of her deaf family which won Best Documentary awards at both the 2014 Maine Deaf Film Festival and the 2012 CaribbeanTales Film Festival, as well as the Audience Choice Award at the 2013 Toronto Deaf Film & Arts Festival. Most recently, Melissa launched The Baby Mini Doc Project, through which she creates artful mini "day in the life" documentaries about families and their littlest ones.
