Hovhannes, a writer, a journalist, and a documentary filmmaker, was born in Yerevan, in 1988. He worked at “Ankakh”, “Yerkir” and “Aravot” newspapers and PINK Armenia human rights NGO. After graduating from the Georgian Institute of Public affairs, besides creating journalistic pieces, he also works on documentary films. He is the author and writer of several short and middle length documentary films related to repressions of the Soviet Union, human rights issues, modern society, personal relations. Currently, he is a freelance journalist, a freelance documentary filmmaker at Chai-Khana and is working on his first feature-length documentary film.
