Based in New York, I’m a video journalist, tv host and producer with more than five years of experience in the field and in a studio. I focus on a variety of stories and recently reported from the White House covering the event of President Obama honoring the 2016 NCAA Champion, Villanova University men's basketball team, the PM of India's visit to the white house & the Press Briefing by Press Secretary Josh Earnest. I was also part of the White House press pool and covered the First Lady, Michelle Obama's last commencement address at The City College of NY. Amber Fares is an award-winning documentary director and cinematographer. Her feature length directorial debut Speed Sisters premiered at Hot Docs in 2015, where it was one of the top 20 Audience Choice Awards. Speed Sisters has played in over 60 film festivals around the world, including Sheffield, Melbourne, CPH:Dox and Doc NYC. Sarah Jones is an Emmy winning journalist with a large social media presence and nearly a decade of experience. Ramon is a producer and filmmaker with a photography and journalism background, and extensive experience working in the field. He started his career working on commercial television, and then specialized in documentary production, focusing on environmental and social subjects mainly in the Americas. He holds masters in Media Studies from The New School, and Politics from New York University; and has worked for international broadcasters, publications and organizations like Univision/ABC, Americas Quarterly, MSNBC, Interamerican Development Bank, Vocativ, Fusion, Semana, UNHCR, Avocats Sans Frontiers, and World Wildlife Fund. Ramon worked as a senior producer on HBO's docs-series "Outpost" (2015-2016), and his multimedia documentary on the Syrian refugee crisis, "The New Promised Land", was nominated for a Gabriel García Marquez Journalism Award in 2016. His short documentary "The Holdouts", about the Colombian civil war, premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival. Betty Bastidas is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Ecuador, came to the US at the age of nine. Jason Jaacks is a filmmaker and photographer focused on social and environmental issues. He’s ducked the border into Mexico with traditional leaders of the Tohono O’odham tribe, spent a year documenting a Native American spoken word team, and led a source-to-sea expedition down the Elwha River. His most recent film, Silent River, follows a young woman as she defies death threats to save one of the most polluted rivers in Mexico. Jason has produced video for National Geographic, MSNBC, Discovery Digital, PBS, and Fusion, among others. He is a National Geographic Explorer and holds a Masters of Journalism from UC Berkeley.
