I was born in Santiago of Chile in ’88. I grew up led by my goal of being an Artist, Actor and Musician. The years passed and my dreams have become my job, and my hobbies, my career. I graduated from University of Chile with a BA on Filmmaking. Afterwards, I studied screenwriting in Argentina. I’ve had the pleasure of participating in hundreds of award winning audiovisual shorts and feature films; working as Director, Screenwriter, Cinematographer, Sound, Acting. I’m also proud of being one of the founders of one of the most important Music/Documentary projects in Chile: “La Vitrola”. We earned the “National Music Prize President of the Republic”, in the year 2016. Academically, I’ve worked as a post-production teacher at MacPC Institute in Santiago. Nowadays, I’ve got my energy focused in finding new horizons that will nurture me as a filmmaker and advance my working skills, aside of being Director of a TV show about La Vitrola.

Marlaina Schiavo is a Producer, Writer, and Humorist whose 25-year career has run the gamut of news and entertainment. Her career began at CNN, which became her professional home collectively 10 years, with 2-yr stints at Fox News and Court TV wedged in the middle.  At CNN/HLN, Marlaina spent several years working under the deadline of a daily live show as well as in front of the camera, delivering live on-air reporting for breaking news stories. After leaving the network in 2012,  Marlaina pivoted to being a freelance producer and writer for CBS News, ABC News Radio, and Al Gore's Climate Reality Project: "24 Hours of Reality."  In 2016, Marlaina joined Us Weekly, producing daily live digital content and providing on-air commentary/interviews. 2019-2022, Marlaina worked on various streaming and digital media projects at Red Seat Ventures until becoming former Governor Andrew Cuomo's podcast producer for the past year. I am an award-winning filmmaker & entrepreneur, recognized as a pioneering force in the New Brazilian Popular Cinema movement. With a career spanning over a decade, I have made my mark through guerrilla filmmaking, directing, and producing films across 50 countries. In 2012, I founded the International House of Cinema (IHC), a production company known for its innovative approach to filmmaking, which later expanded to the United States. My feature debut, Neon Heart (2023), received critical acclaim, establishing me as a leading voice in contemporary Brazilian cinema. I’m particularly proud of the extensive campaign I created for my feature film Neon Heart. My unique approach to storytelling is rooted in my early experiences traveling the globe, capturing stories with limited resources, which culminated in my project Independent Roads (2012).
