Though Islam does not restrict women from exercising, women face numerous challenges while working out. Fatou Njie from the Gambia identified this challenge and has created, a safe space for women to exercise without worry. The Phenomenal Women Wellness Centre, is the first of its kind in the Islamic West African nation.
