I am a film writer/producer and director. I have experience in television reality shows, documentaries, and television drama in the above capacities. Over the last decade, I have produced concepts, directed and offered logistical support for organizations such as China Global Television Network (CGTN), Comic Relief, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Amnesty International. I have worked in over 200 episodes of Television series, radio and television commercials, and over 40 documentaries.
Kenya's capital hosts the largest landfill in Kenya known as Dandora, which is also the home to Kenya's hip hop movement. A hip hop musician known as Juliani is using music and social activism to empower the local youths on art, entrepreneurship and recycling, as away to wade them off crime and the negativity associated with the landfill.
This is a documentary that follows a unique motor vehicle competition called the Rhino Charge where the fastest vehicle does not necessarily win but the car with the shortest distance across an 8 point circuit. This off-road, obstacle-filled terrain course is held once a year in Kenya and the proceeds are channeled towards conversation efforts.
This is a documentary on three informal settlements in Nairobi Kenya that have been subjected to forced evictions. The documentary explores the testimony of three characters and the anguish they faced due to the forced evictions. I wrote and Co-Directed the documentary, and it was used to create awareness and mitigating measures against forced evictions.
I am a concept to delivery creative. This is a documentary on a woman who is championing a theatrical renaissance in Nigeria. For this documentary, I came up with the concept, researched the characters, handled the logistics of the shoot, crew selection, coordination, wrote the post-production script and supervised the post-production process.
This project follows three sports women who have qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics but the COVID-19 pandemic forces the games to be postponed to 2021. In the midst of social distancing requirements, cessation of movements, curfews and lockdowns, the women have adapted to training under these conditions, and are gearing up for the games one year away.
