A devastating marker of one million refugees registered in Lebanon alone has been reached. That's one million individuals whose lives have been torn apart by the crisis in Syria. Meet Yehya, the 1 millionth Syrian refugee in Lebanon, he is 18 years old and registered as a refugee in Lebanon in April 2014. This story has been done for UNHCR with cameraman Marc Hofer.
Syrian refugee Ibrahim has suffered too much for an 11-year-old. His mother and four siblings were killed by a bomb in Damascus, which left the Syrian boy with bad injuries. With the support of his father and help of doctors in Jordan's Za'atari refugee camp, he hopes to once more walk unaided. This video has been produced for UNHCR, by me and Marc Hofer.
This super budget short film was produced while we, me and Marc Hofer, were working in Beirut, covering the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon We shot with a very small budget in a production team never exceeding more then 3 people. We produced on a single BMPCC with a Canon vintage lens.
