Request QuoteChristian Abi Abboud Filmmaker Christian Abi Abboud was born on the 13 of may 1980 in Beirut, a city divided by civil war. His experience of a city divided between east and west marked his childhood, images of war and corruption created a unique bond between him and his hometown, Beirut. After his graduation, he worked as an editor until 2012 for more than 200 projects ranging from tv commercial to music videos and corporate films. In 2009, in order to leverage his wide and powerful network of professionals, he established his own company "Tic Motion" specialised in Post production services, which is still doing well to date. But in 2014, he chose to free himself from the business world and take a new path that he was secretly waiting for. He started producing and directing his own content. After selling his shares in his company, he produced and directed his first independent documentary film "OD5NJ". It was only when he produced and directed UBUNTU that he got the attention of the film industry and was considered as a new director to watch. Ubuntu that tells the story of Syrian Woman who seeked asylum in Sweden, then falls in love with a Lebanese filmmaker, and finds herself tangled between her new life in Europe, and her fear of going back to the Middle east that crushed her initial life dreams, that Premiered at Vancouver Doc Festival, and won the Jury prize at Karama festival Amman.
