In rural Kenya microloans are helping women to improve their living standards and increase household incomes. Through these loans, women are able to own property like livestock and educate their children. These microloans are also empowering the women to start group welfare projects. As a result of financial empowerment, the women are taking on more responsibilities in households from men.
