I have been working in the Film Industry since 1999 and it has given me a very reliable, open mind.
My experience has been driven by a progressive ambition to maximize every opportunity that comes my way. I strive on being punctual, patient, sharp, and persistent.
My working conditions force me to be athletic, fit, and dependable. To be precise technically, calm with time constraints, and make innovative decisions with an imaginative mind.
My area of specialty lies in lighting and composition for high speed, macro, run, and gun shooting and set up lighting for narrative work.
I have been shooting mostly nature and people documentaries of late and have years of experience in both long & short-form films, music videos, reality, TV formats, and plenty of commercials/corporates.
I am familiar with and have used just about every camera on the market. I specialize in the latest 4k and above formats & recently won 2 SAFTA’s for my high-speed work on the Phantom Flex (Speed Kills -‐ Savannah). Macro work with diopters and sliders is also one of my skill-sets (Speed Kills – Jungle / Incredible Spiders: Nat Geo).
I have been operating Arial Drones now for over three years and find they are invaluable to any production. I am enrolled to complete my RPL license.
I have traveled and filmed in 38 countries worldwide taking me through many customs procedures that require multiple border crossings, piles of paperwork & Carnes, etc.
Often I have been elected to take charge of all crew and have the experience & responsibility to make critical logistical decisions in order for us to arrive & return from our destinations.
I operate as a freelance as well as the owner & founder of a production company. My wife is my business partner. Ash is a meticulous world-class producer, logistics, and production manager. Combined our services are attractive for long & short form productions.
