I'm passionate about all media production and enjoy the complete process of creating unique and captivating content. Having studied and worked in the UK, I moved back to South Africa to work for the German Public Broadcaster ZDF at the 2010 Fifa World Cup. This was my foot into the local media industry and soon found myself working across a spectrum of programs. As a Production Manager, I oversaw more than 1000 hours of broadcasted TV across various SABC shows and multiple digital news platforms. My position in television advanced into creatively producing sponsored and editorial content for the 2017 SAFTA award-winning Expresso morning show on SABC3. This role developed into directing my own concepts and I was asked to move over as full-time insert director for Expresso specialising in community, conservation, correctional services. Marcia is a seasoned production manager and line producer who has also served as a showrunner on several productions. With extensive experience in television, film and commercial productions, she has worked in South Africa, throughout the African continent, and around the world for nearly twenty years. Marcia most recently managed a team from the U.S. headquarters of AirBnB in Cape Town. During the funeral of former South African President Nelson Mandela, she managed BET News’ team in three locations across the country. Marcia has also served as a content producer and researcher for History Channel’s History of Football in Africa and Making World Cup History in the lead up to the 2018 FIFA Soccer World Cup. She lead the production team on the international feature film The Journey is the Destination and worked on Netflix’s Jadotville shot on location in Johannesburg. Prior to that, Marcia line produced For Love and Broken Bones, a made-for-TV South African film which won Best Film Award at the Portland International Film Festival. Marcia was part of the launch team of Comedy Club: Live in Lagos which grew to become a continent-wide platform for African comedians. With increasing responsibility from production manager, line producer and finally series producer she expanded the program working to create seasons in Mombasa and Kampala. She also production managed a season of Coke Studio East/West, a pan-African television music show broadcast to thirteen countries and translated into eight languages. Marcia led the production unit of Studio 53, a pan-African magazine show. She has worked across all television genres holding senior production and content roles in talk, drama, live TV, and reality. Marcia has typically overseen productions from inception to post-production and she is extremely well versed in budgeting, scheduling, day-to-day management of cast and crew, brainstorming content and post production. She has exceptional organisational, communication and management skills, and has travelled extensively for work and pleasure. In 2018, Marcia returned to Vassar College on a full scholarship to write her thesis thereby completing her BA degree in Africana Studies. I am a video journalist, camera operator and editor based out Cape Town, South Africa. I have recently gone freelance after working as a video journalist with the BBC's flagship business programme on the continent, 'Africa Business Report'. I am a Johannesburg based Filmmaker, Director of Photography (DOP), Multimedia Journalist, Producer and Drone Operator. Over the course of my career I have worked in Europe, the US, the Middle East and Southern Africa with different international organizations including the UN Human Rights Office, Al Jazeera English, Global Citizen, TRT World, Goethe Institut, Vice News on HBO, Bloomberg, Amnesty International, Business Insider and Pacifica Radio. Dianne began her career in newspapers at the prestigious Cape Town newspaper The Cape Argus where she reported on high profile high court cases as well as human interest stories. The bright lights of television beckoned and she joined eNCA shortly before the launch of the 24-hour news channel. She returned to newspapers as a senior investigative and legal reporter at The Sunday Independent newspaper in Gauteng. After two years she returned to eNCA this time entering the online department as a senior reporter. She has won a number of awards for her work as a reporter. Dianne has worked as the News Editor of The Times and TimesLIVE. She has been the Head of News at POWER 98.7, a Johannesburg-based radio station and worked as Head of News and Current Affairs at Newzroom Afrika where she helped to set up the 24-hour news channel. She later took up the role of Special Project Editor at the channel. In late 2021, Dianne joined the Timeslive group multimedia team as Editor for Video.

Kristen van Schie is a director and editor from South Africa. Before her shift to film, she worked for ten years as an award-winning journalist, filing dispatches in both her home country and across Africa. Her first short film The Summer Before Seventh Grade (2021) premiered at Dok Leipzig; Landscape (2021) premiered shortly after at FIPADOC in Biarritz and is currently part of the European Film Factory short film programme. Kristen was part of the research team behind Influence, the first South African feature documentary to premiere at Sundance. Most recently, she edited four episodes of the true-crime series Privaatspeurders and worked as an assistant editor on director Simon Wood’s current work-in-progress, Untamed. Kristen has a masters degree in creative documentary directing from the mobile film school DocNomads.
