As a videographer, producer and director she won the first prize in the World Press Photo Multimedia Contest 2012, the Picture of The Year International Multimedia Issue Reporting Award 2012 and the Lumix Multimedia Award 2012 for the project Afrikanerblood, a video about an extreme-right holiday camp for white South African teenagers. Her work has been published by Time Magazine, the New York Times and The Telegraph, among others. Based in South Africa but travelling throughout the continent.

Johannesburg has a bad reputation as a city ridden by crime. But its fearsome global reputation for being utterly terrifying is untrue. It is an energetic city with hip youngsters and gritty neighbourhoods that are being transformed in cool areas with fashion stores, parties on rooftops and food markets in old warehouses. I would like to show this other side of Johannesburg.
