Request QuoteBorn and raised in Taipei City, William Chen holds BA in Radio and Television, minored in Ethnology, and MA in Religious Study from National Cheng-Chi University. At that time he became one of the first group of students using DV and NLE to make their own short films other than filming for school assignment. In 2007 his animated short “Cultural Reproduction Machine” was screened in Urban Nomad Film Festival. In 2010 he co-directed feature documentary “Dreams, a journey toward Wan Wan” with award-winning director Jim Wang with a theatrical release. After that he mainly working in media industry and international indie productions. In 2017, he wrote the narration for Discovery Channel for program “Secrets of Pangolin”. In 2018, his short film “Uncle Buddy” was screened in Urban Nomad Film Festival and a feature documentary “Metal Politics Taiwan”, which he worked as assistant director and editor has been broadcasted on ARTE.
