I am a freelance photographer / videographer specialising in covering news and feature stories for various greek and international publications. From 2005 to 2011 I worked in Greece documenting the economic crisis and the impact it had on the social fabric of the country. I shifted my attention to the Middle East in 2012 to document, among other issues, the war in Syria along with the implications it has on the region. Currently I am based in Athens - Greece covering events in the country while at the same time working as a fixer - producer for various international TV stations. The Christian minority in Syria
I travelled to north-eastern Syria to report upon the experience of the Christian community, many of whom have already fled the extraordinary brutality of the civil war. Along with journalist Balint Szlanko, we were able to document the determination of Christian communities to stay and survive, by forming their own militia groups to protect the few remaining families in the area.
