Also having a background in Art Department adds to my ability to think on my feet and creatively problem solve. I enjoy travel and working with foreign crew - in South Africa and Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Morocco and Ghana, where I have solid relationships with my suppliers. I welcome the challenges of producing good content, learning new cultures, and love that each project changes according to its specific needs, to put the "puzzle" together, seeing the bigger picture and making it all come together.
Together with the Director, we travelled to multiple locations around South Africa to tell a story about each nominee for the Afrisam Award for Sustainable Design. The link above is for the "Bridging Mzamba" project, in the Eastern Cape. This 140m suspension bridge has transformed the community and helped saved lives.
I facilitated the logistics of the show: A new city every day, travelling in overland trucks, planes and tour buses through Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Morocco, Spain, France and London. We set up tents, booked into hotels, used ferries and crossed multiple borders, negotiating customs, cultures, wrangling talent and cows!
Im A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Australia, S1+S2 Art Manager - we oversaw and created the set of the entire show, from mechanical swings and hydraulic systems, creating camp, dressing for games, props for live shows, wardrobe, off site events and providing exotic meals and concoctions for the contestants consumption.
