I was born in Tabriz in 1972. I completed primary, secondary and high school there. I received my undergraduate education in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. I completed my master's and doctoral studies at Ankara University. Between 2008 and 2013, I worked at the Persian Desk of TRT Foreign Broadcasting Department. I have been working as a lecturer at Ankara University, Department of Modern Turkish Dialects and Literatures since 2013. I have been the editor-in-chief of Varlıq magazine since 2015.
