I have been contributing to numerous productions for major networks including NHK, TV Asahi, Al Jazeera, CNA, Hulu, The Straits Times and Bloomberg. After completing my degree in UK I moved back to Japan and started working in a production office specialising in documentaries, and soon became independent and started working as a fixer and field producer.
I contributed the feature story of The Straits Times, a Singaporean newspaper, about traditional Japanese divers, Ama. I worked as a fixer and a videographer with Mr. Walter Sim, their Japan Correspondent, and filmed Ama divers, a pearl artisan, and many other interesting people and locations.
I contributed the feature story of The Straits Times, a Singaporean newspaper, about Yubari city in Hokkaido. This city is known as the producer of the Yubari King Melon, the most expensive fruit in the world, and as the only city in Japan which experienced a bankruptcy. I worked as a fixer and a videographer with Mr. Walter Sim, their Japan Correspondent.
I accompanied Mr Walter Sim, correspondent of the Straits Times, a Singaporean newspaper, into the area to report on the earthquake that struck Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on 1 January. I participated as the Fixer, Driver and Videographer this time from just a week after the disaster.
An ancient pilgrimage route, "Camino de Santiago", is gaining popularity in recent years, and many people from around the world experience this special experience. We filmed this journey from Le Puy, a French city to the final destination Santiago de Compostela in Spain for about 2 months, using 8k cameras. I contributed as an interpreter and fixer.
I coordinated the filming of a Jamaican High School Track and Field event "Champs" for a month as a fixer. We managed to film two medalists Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake who came around to see the event.
As a fixer, I coordinated the filming of Zambia Handball National Team and its Japanese coach for 3 weeks in Lusaca, Zambia. Because the filming crew was small, I worked as a sound recording engineer as well.
