Yvette graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2004, but cut her teeth on international film and television productions from 2003. In 2005, she joined a media NGO and produced an award-winning documentary HIV/AIDS series for five seasons. In late 2008, she established Substance Films and has gone on to create diverse forms of socially relevant media: video, print, online and experiential. She is a storytelling director/producer with a flair for creative, intimate moviemaking.
