Amani Asenwar is PhD student in Politics and International Relations in Istanbul Zaim University. She is also lecturer in the Political Science and International Relations department and Research Associate in the Centre of Islam and Global Affairs in Istanbul Zaim University since September 2017. Amani has received her master’s degree in EU Politics and International Relations from European Union institute at Marmara University, her Master’s thesis was on New Shifts in European foreign policy towards Israel (2009-2016). Between 2011-2014 she worked as the regional director of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor (Middle East office-Amman, Jordan), she also worked as Human Rights Researcher in the same organisation (2011-2014). She served as Media Coordinator in UFree Network (2011-2012). She worked as news editor in several media projects such as: Quds Press International Agency (2010-11), Quds Network-(Co-founder), Al-Khaleej Online (2014-2015). She is columnist and writer in several media projects and speaks Arabic, English and Turkish. Her academic interest includes: International Relations, European Integration, European Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), EU-Israel Relations, Middle East Studies, and Human Rights.
