Taiwanese artist Han Hsu Tung's hyper-realistic and moving wooden sculptures have captured the attention of the art world, as seen on display in Taoyuan City on Thursday. Showing off a sculpture designed to look like a woman wearing a cosmetic facemask, Han spoke about the role of creating optical illusions in his work. "Actually, this whole 'mask' is made of wood, there is nothing stuck on top of it. These decorations have been painted on. It's a visual game," said the sculptor. Using only wood, Han also demonstrated how he could manipulate his medium to create multi-layered sculptures. Copied from page
