I am a lighting camera person and editor with over 23 years of experience in the Film industry producing documentaries on women and youth empowerment, health & safety, agriculture, climate change and conservation among many other genres. I am more of a "preditor" and therefore possess the knowledge and ability to work through all the stages of the production process from conceptualization to the final outputs.
Over the years, l’ve had the privilege of working with several local and international organizations dealing in social, health and economic empowerment which include: GIZ-Kenya, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Catholic Relief Services, DNDi (Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative), US centre for disease control (CDC) MGIC (Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation), Kenya Human Rights Commission and Transparency International to name a few. I cover the Africa region and therefore i've worked in several countries outside Kenya including Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Ivory coast, Ghana just to mention a few.
I own high-end HD cameras (Canon C100 with a wide range of lenses, Canon 5D mark ii & Sony PXW 150 and got an unlimited access to a Sony PMW F3. I own documentary lighting and sound equipment as well as a fully fledged final cut pro x edit suite that makes it easier for me to work off client’s site if need be. I have great networks within the region and therefore got access to a lot of top class acquisition tools and support.
