Request QuoteI am a content creator and visual story teller based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with an insatiable hunger for capturing moments and telling stories. I mainly focus on travel, lifestyle and documentary photography. I have had the opportunity to work with various different companies and organizations for documentary photography including Vodacom Foundation, Tearfund UK, UNAIDS, Pernod Ricard, La Marzocco and Utengule Coffee Estate to name a few. In most of these my job was not merely a photographer but I also doubled as a translator, English to Swahili and vice versa, and in some cases I was responsible for the research before the assignment as well. Having worked with different organizations across different themes and different conditions, I would describe myself as passionate, flexible, adaptable, resilient, emotionally intelligent, ethical and hardworking; qualities which I either learned or improved during the different missions.
In this project by Tearfund, the goal was to call out the biggest single-use plastic polluters, Coca Cola, Nestle, Pepsi-Co and Unilever. For five days we went across different parts of Dar es Salaam, mainly in areas around dumpsters to see how the waste was affecting the inhabitants in the area.
This project took place in Tanzania, where by myself alongside Pernille Hoej, a UNAIDS Programme Officer travelled across Dar es Salaam, Dodoma and Zanzibar to document and take stock photographs on the themes of Adolescent Girls and Young Women, Youth Support Groups, KPV prevention services etc that could be archived in the UNAIDS photo library and used in their publications.

This project entailed launching Tanzania's first AR Gallery where we showcased six human centred stories that challenged the way traditional CSR speaks. We travelled across four different regions collecting stories and images on various topics including Fistula, Instant Schools, Female hygiene and sanitary pads, premature births and women economic support groups.
This project entailed going around Dar es Salaam dumpsites, rivers and different neighborhoods to collect stories of people affected by plastic waste, most especially products of Multinational Companies in Tanzania.
