The distribution of vitamin A supplements in the Western Regional block (Kakamega, Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Siaya) got disrupted by the Covid 19 pandemic. The partnership between Helen Keller and the Kenya National Government through the Ministry of Health ensured that children under 5 still got the VAS and dewormers at the household level by training the local community health volunteers on the best practices and the proposed Covid-19 prevention measures that guided them during the field activities.
