The Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles opened its doors in 1917. At its inception it was a discount food space, a place where you could find fresh produce and feed a family for a handful of dollars. Over the past year the market has begun to undergo a major shift, aimed to "reinvigorate" it, a move that could either "destroy or revive (the market), depending on who you talk to".
