Request QuoteBorn in Istanbul in 1993, Mehmet Rakipoğlu completed his undergraduate degree in the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Political Sciences at Sakarya University. In the academic year of 2015-2016, Mr. Rakipoğlu studied in Szczecin, Poland within the scope of the Erasmus program. He worked as a student assistant at Sakarya University in the Middle East Institute between 2015-2017. Besides this, he worked as a YÖK 100/2000 scholar at the same Institute between 2017-2019. Mr. Rakipoğlu, has finished his Ph.D. program in the field of the Middle East Studies at the same Institute in 2023. Working as a researcher in an UN project, Rakipoğlu currently works in Batman University and Dimensions for Strategic Studies. He has written many opinion papers, analyses and reports for national and foreign media and think tanks. His research interests include foreign policy of the Gulf countries, Turkey’s Gulf Policy and political Islam, social movements in the Middle East, the relation between religion and politics, etc. Rakipoğlu has good command of English and an intermediate level of Arabic.
