Timothy Wolfer is a journalist and filmmaker. For over a decade he has been working on stories of humanitarian aid and migration. His work has taken him to 40+ countries; places like South Sudan to tell stories of the conflict, Bangladesh to cover stories of the Rohingya fleeing Myanmar, Cuba as the country first opened to U.S. humanitarian assistance, and Haiti days after the 2010 earthquake. His latest film The Right Girls follows a group of transgender women headed to the U.S. Border with the 2018 Large Migrant Caravan. This film was distributed on Amazon, iTunes and Google Play. He has also produced numerous, short docs for PBS stations, winning him a regional Emmy. Wolfer was also present on the steps of the U.S. Capitol on January 6th filming as a mob breached the building and the footage, he shot there was featured by the New York Times. Valerio was born in Rome and graduated with a major in Communication Sciences from La Sapienza University with a thesis on Jean Rouch and ethno-fiction. In 2011 he moved to New York City to attend documentary classes at New York Film Academy. In 2012 he developed and directed original content for i-Italy airing on NYC Life (WNYE-DT1). For more than a decade I have worked as a field producer and journalist covering stories in the U.S. and overseas, including the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Right now I am a freelance multimedia journalist/reporter based in New York City, but I am happy to travel for an assignment. Leah Galant is a Jewish filmmaker and Fulbright Scholar based in New York whose storytelling focuses on unexpected narratives that challenge perceptions. In 2021 she was recognized as one of DOC NYC’s 40 under 40. While at Ithaca College in 2015 she was named one of Variety’s "110 Students to Watch in Film and Media” for her work on THE PROVIDER that follows a traveling abortion doctor in Texas (SXSW 2016, Student Emmy Award) and BEYOND THE WALL about a formerly incarcerated individuals re-entry process. She was a Sundance Ignite and Jacob Burns Fellow where she created DEATH METAL GRANDMA (SXSW 2018) about a 97 year old Holocaust survivor named Inge Ginsberg who sings death metal which won “Best Documentary” at the American Pavilion at Cannes Film Festival, and is a NY Times Op Doc. Over the last 18 years, I have worked in almost every field of film, TV and video production and television journalism, and have spent the last nine years managing my own news and media production company. I have an excellent knowledge of the industry, as well as a proven track record of running a company and managing staff, projects and budgets. Rebecca Davis is an Emmy Award-winning video journalist and documentary producer based in New York City. She was a senior producer with NBC News from 2013 through 2019 where she helped to launch NBC News' first digital video unit. Her work there focused on short-form documentaries and original video series. Previously she worked with the New York Daily News, where she covered everything from the Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest and the New York Jets to Occupy Wall Street and Hurricane Sandy. Davis received an Emmy in 2013 for her series “We witnessed 9/11 through their lenses,” which profiled six New York Daily News photographers who were working on the day of the September 11 attacks. Her work has been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, the New York Press Photographers Association, the New York Press Club, the Society of Professional Journalists, the EPPY Awards, and the Society for Features Journalism.
