I'm a multi-faceted technician who is well-versed in all aspects of video production. My expertise in live streaming, camera, lighting, sound, editing, compression and visual effects has allowed me to produce over 600 videos for the Web and TV. I believe that documentaries are the last bastion of journalism. Having worked for network news at MSNBC for almost four years as an editor helped lead me to this conclusion. Documentaries can help change the world in which we live. Currently I am working on a feature documentary about a self taught artist who is entrenched in the noise scene, comics, zines, and performance art. I like to hunt for documentary stories about artists, social movements, historical events, human & animal rights, science, technology, and environmental issues. I believe a can-do attitude and team-player mentality makes a great video producer. My goal is to be the best of the best and create content that connects to audiences worldwide.

Hi, Been working with cameras since I was a kid. Began working professionally with cameras in 2007 and have been expanding my knowledge and passion ever since. Starting in the extreme sports documentation side of things, I've slowly expanded through weddings for a short while and landed on promotional video production. Working for several years in a marketing department for a ski mountain, I learned how to work in harsh conditions and with a variety of people and goals. The majority of my experience is in one or two-man operation but have been dabbling in larger productions in more recent years. My business partner and I started Maine Mountain Media in 2014 and have been growing the company and enjoying the life of self-employment. We love to work with a variety of clients so we don't get stuck in a rut and creating everything from 15-second spots for web advertising to 2 or 3-minute longer-form documentary style videos. If you're looking for high quality product, with a flexible work-flow and timeline, we might be a perfect match.

I have worked in journalism for eight years, branching often into marketing and sponsored content. At my core I am a storyteller, specializing in cinematography. As a field producer I have risen to challenges in many austere environments, including Iraq, Korea, India, Mexico and Standing Rock. I have also done on-camera correspondent work for documentary projects in Haiti and across the United States. I believe documentary filming is simple, but not easy. I don't wait for inspiration; I keep a camera ready for when it comes. I toil at the technical, ace the audio and prioritize verité. I know how to find the perfect shot, but I'm Zen enough to settle for good if chasing it might disturb the honest vibe of a scene. If the video feels true, I know the work is worthy. When I'm not in the field, I'm happiest sharing what I've learned with others. I've taught college students as well as working professionals, typically offering hands-on field production and editing skills. As a Marine veteran, I also mentor service members through their transition to civilian life - especially those angling for careers in journalism. I believe veterans are under-represented in the media industry, and they offer a diversity of experience and first-hand knowledge that is invaluable to newsrooms.
