Orlando is an Emmy winning editor and a talented creative professional with a passion for giving back to his community. He began his career as a teaching artist and onsite video producer/editor for one of New York City’s largest nonprofits The Harlem Children’s Zone. After 4 years with HCZ, Orlando became the Director of Digital Media at New Life Fellowship Church, one of the largest churches in Queens, New York. There, he was charged with producing and editing all of the video content for the promotion and community engagement of the organization. As a Senior Editor at Green Buzz Agency, he has won many industry awards for his work with Upworthy, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, SYFY Channel, Georgetown University, TEGNA, and more. Orlando has a keen eye for story and structure. He is known for his unique ability to find the main throughline for any story; not only distilling what must be communicated, but also understanding how to deliver the emotional and relatable messages that resonate with viewers. Always looking to stay on the cutting edge of video, he obtained his Master’s in Fine Arts in Cinema and Television from Regent University in 2017. Currently, he is a Digital Video Editor at Nestlè USA. Working for their internal ad agency, The LEAD. I am currently a senior at the Pennsylvania State University, from where I intend to graduate in May with a degree in Telecommunications (with a focus in production) and a minor in Business. I am 22 years old and grew up in Lansdale, PA, about 30 miles from Philadelphia. I am a very passionate and caring person and love to be around and interact with all kinds of people. In terms of stories, I am constantly searching for and researching stories of all types. However, I always find myself drawn to those that deal with culture, the environment, and human rights the most. I get extremely passionate about these three topics and am always looking to stay informed and find out what is going on with these topics in the world around me. I think that these topics really hit home for just about everyone in some way or another and tend to get a lot of reactions out of viewers. If given the opportunity, I would love to work on projects where we could bring these issues to light even more and make people more aware of what is happening around them on a daily basis.

Before becoming a freelance composer, he began his career co-scoring blockbuster and independent films such as Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist with his uncle, noted composer Mark Mothersbaugh (DEVO). His music can also be heard in television shows around the world, from kids shows like Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get A Clue!, Disney’s Dance-A-Lot Robot, and PIXAR’s Mater’s Tall Tales to adult shows such as Chef's Table (Netflix) and Abused by the Police (BBC). I started my journey in video by working for a Army training center in Fort Polk Louisiana. While news style shooting appealed to me, it was the imagery, and how the frame could add to the story that really caught my attention. I began getting more into photography, framing, composition, lighting. After several years as a freelancer I decided to get a degree in production. Formal learning fanned the flames of my interest in cinematography, and taught me that I could create amazing images rather than just finding them. I've been lucky to maintain that passion for more than a decade, and I've been even more lucky to find other amazing crew members to work on productions with. My heart is working with a camera, and the artful and technical aspects that a imaging device helps me create.
