Aristide Economopoulos is freelance photographer in the New York City metropolitan area. His experience includes over two decades with NJ Advance Media / The Star-Ledger where he specialized in documentary essays and covered a variety of topics from international conflict, urban violence, natural disasters, politics to local community news and professional and prep sports. An eight-time Photographer of The Year with the New York Press Photographers Association, he has won numerous awards including World Press Photo, Sony World Photo Awards, Siena International Photo Awards, Pictures of the Year International, National Press Photographers Association’s Best of Photojournalism, NPPA Cliff Edom New America Portfolio, Casey Medals for Meritorious Journalism, The Scripps Howard Foundation National Journalism Award. Born and raised in Lima, Rodrigo Valencia is a director of photography dedicated to documenting the universal human experience through the lens of each individual's personal journey. His interest in visual storytelling sparked at a young age thanks to his uncle, a DP who brought him along on shoots and taught him how to use his very first camera. Moving to the United States in search of better opportunities, he graduated from Rutgers University with a major in film production and a minor in art.
