I am a Colorado-based investigative journalist and have nearly three dozen honors, including two national Edward R. Murrow awards, two national Associated Press Television-Radio Awards, a Society of Professional Journalists (Sigma Delta Chi) award and a duPont-Columbia silver baton, all for groundbreaking investigative broadcast stories (both as a reporter and editor). I also directed and produced the independent documentary film, "Recovering," about veterans recovering from the wounds of two wars (Become Films). I am a journalist and a filmmaker who recently graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with my Master's of Arts in Journalism. I have been creating short film documentaries largely focused on varying parts of the city of Denver; these include the Hip-Hop music scene as well as the larger music scene. I was the project producer for Cruzada, a film by the Literacy Project about the Nicaraguan National Literacy Campaign.
