I'm Louise, I recently graduated from studying film and english at university. I have experience primarily in short filmmaking consisting of promotional and events videos and short documentaries. I have filmed and edited a number of promotional videos for small companies around Dublin. I worked as producer on a short documentary focusing on disability access in Dublin, and the organizations in place aimed at helping those with disabilities. I also had a role as editor on a short documentary, "Herself," which focuses on an elderly couple who met as a priest and nun in a Catholic missionary and decided to leave the church and marry. As a part of a larger team I have filmed, edited, and produced a number of videos focused on university events and organizations. I have also worked at several production companies, including work on "Gideon's Army" which aired on HBO (winner of the Sundance Documentary Editing Award, among others) and "Spies of Mississippi" which aired on PBS.

I am currently working as a TV factual writer/director and my recent work includes, 2 series of 'Scéalta Grá na hÉireann' (Ireland's Greatest Loves) (2023, 2021), a 2x 6 part documentary series for TG4, ‘Biseach Ón Ailse’ (A Cure for Cancer) (2023) for TG4, the Wilbur and Radharc Award winning 'The Cork Nativity' (2020), a Christmas Special for RTÉ 1 (Ireland's national broadcaster) and he directed 'Battle of the Christmas Lights' (2021) for Virgin Media One. I was Head of Operations for Future TV Media Centre in Dublin, after which I moved to Luxembourg and worked in the film studios of Carousel Pictures and Deluxe Productions. My debut feature film 'Tree Keeper' premiered at the 56th Cork Film Festival and has screened around the world. I co-wrote and directed the award winning short 'The Brutal Truth' and my short documentary 'Jackie Oh!!!' featuring Urban Artist Fin DAC won the Consulate of Ireland award at the Chicago Irish Film Festival in March 2015. My short horror film, ‘The Sign’ was shortlisted for competition in Spike Lee’s Babelgum Online Film Festival 2009. My short film ‘Penny’ won the Prize for ‘Best Drama’ at the Fastnet Short Film Festival in 2009 and screened on RTÉ as part of its Short Screen series. My debut feature documentary, 'Why is there anything instead of nothing' (2017), portrays the life and work of Irish/American artist Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross. The film is a visual tour de force that explores such themes as art, philosophy, ancestry and family. Starline Entertainment are handling worldwide distribution. I also shoot and direct the Fastnet Film Festival Greenroom Interviews. Founder Kat Green is an accomplished film and music producer and believes there are no borders between the arts. Kat began her career as a singer and actress, appearing as Alicia Masters in Roger Corman’s cult adaptation of The Fantastic Four. I recently graduated from the MA International Multimedia Journalism in Beijing. I am a Sinologist, I have a good knowledge of SEA countries, with a particular focus on China. I am a freelance journalist and an independent researcher, from and based in Ireland, writing broadly in the areas of human rights and social justice.
