Kent Truog is a freelance multimedia producer and photographer whose work focuses on issues of conservation, social justice, and cultural preservation. Tracy Rector is a mixed race Choctaw/Seminole filmmaker, curator, community organizer, co-founder of Longhouse Media and a 2016 Stranger Genius. She has made over 400 short films, and is currently in production of her fifth feature documentary. As co-producer of the award-winning film Teachings of the Tree People, producer of March Point, co-director of Clearwater, and director of Ch'aak' S'aagi; Rector has developed an awareness and sensitivity to the power of media and film as a modern storytelling tool. Her work has been featured on Independent Lens, Cannes Film Festival, ImagineNative, National Geographic, Toronto International Film Festival, Folklife Festival, the Seattle Art Museum and in the Smithsonian’s Museum of the American Indian. As a Native Education specialist, Rector has facilitated work with over 3,000 youth, worked as a consultant with the Seattle Art Museum (SAM), served as a Native Naturalist for the Olympic Sculpture Park, and is involved with SAM’s newly expanded Native American wing. Tracy has received the National Association for Media Literacy award for outstanding contributions made in the field of media education, is a current Firelight Media Lab Fellow, WGBH Producer Fellow, Sundance Institute Lab Fellow, Tribeca All Access Grantee and is the recipient of the Horace Mann Award for her work in utilizing media for social justice. Raised in Seattle and Albuquerque, Tracy currently lives in Seattle and sits as a City of Seattle Arts Commissioner.

Kyle Norris is from Michigan and spent ten years as a host and reporter with Michigan Radio, the state’s largest NPR-affiliate. He lives in Seattle and works as a producer, reporter and educator. His stories are intimate and character-driven. He explores issues surrounding identity, health, religion, poverty, and arts & culture narratives. Norris is known for his sound-rich style of storytelling and conversational, expressive tone. Norris also teaches classes and workshops about audio production, storytelling, podcasting, and working with the media. He currently works as a youth mentor and instructor for KUOW’s RadioActive program and as a producer with their podcast department. I am a writer/ director born in Lesotho. After completing a degree in Film and Media Production I was involved as writer in a few productions, first assistant director, researcher and script supervisor in an international feature titled 'The Forgotten Kingdom'. For three years I was also a junior lecturer in the Film and Television department at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Maseru. I was also facilitator in a video journalism workshop at Kick-4-Life in Maseru for a period of about six months. A media professional with more than 17 years of experience finding, crafting and editing stories -- including work in newspapers, radio, television and online news. As Executive Producer for Digital Media, I managed a team of five producers and four digital assistants creating content that recruits viewers to KIRO 7’s digital platforms, including our website, Facebook page, channels on Amazon Fire and Apple TV, and the KIRO 7 News apps. That role included creating and editing video for each of our platforms, planning and executing social media strategy, and coordinating all livestreams. Doubled KIRO’s daily traffic average in the first year, launched KIRO’s Smart TV apps and our Roku platform became the top local news station on that platform worldwide. Awards include a 2014 Emmy Award for political coverage, a 2017 Emmy for team coverage and a 2018 Emmy Award for crime coverage. As a reporter, I was among the handful selected to transition the Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper into Seattlepi.com. Roles were often self-initiated, including video and audio projects. I also oversaw the vast P-I archives and coordinated the partnerships that led to preservation at the Museum of History and Industry and the Seattle Public Library’s Seattle Room. As a reporter at the P-I’s print edition, I crafted thousands of stories by building a network of diverse sources, including confidential sources, public officials, law enforcement officers, sports figures, historians, archivists, and trusted community leaders. After the mass shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, I was selected along a handful of Hearst journalists to tell the stories of Sandy Hook.
