I started working as a crime reporter in Rome, Italy, more than 10 years ago. Then I moved to Milan where I was a staff writer at Mediaset and then at Corriere della Sera, the largest daily in Italy. In the seven years I worked at the newspaper I was first covering education for the metro section. When I moved to the online section I covered breaking news as well as social conflict and riots in Italy and Europe. I also reported from Iran and Cuba. In 2013 I produced an award winning documentary Capulcu Voices from Gezi about the protest in Istanbul in Turkey. Also in 2013 I won a full scholarship to attend the MA in Journalism concentration Politics at Columbia University. I graduated in May 2014. After graduation I decided to resign from my position at Corriere and start a career as a freelancer. I have made several trips to Syria and Iraq. I established a relationship with Reuters Foundation and Reuters. I also wrote for Vocativ, Medium and Quartz.
