Hello! My filmmaking endeavors run the gamut from personal documentaries to phone commercials. In each project, I dedicate myself to telling a compelling story. My short films have screened at NewFest, Inside Out Film Fest and on PBS and MSNBC.com. My commercial work includes spots for Sony, ESET Antivirus and Cate McNabb. I am currently in post-production on my first feature, a narrative film starring Brian J. Smith (Sense8). I'm also a recipient of the Cinereach Film Fellowship and a graduate of Cornell University.

My name is Karina E. Cuevas and I am a native New Yorker. I have lived in NYC for most of my life, except I went to high school in the Dominican Republic. Went to undergrad at Penn State where I majored in journalism and french. Masters in Journalism at Columbia University in May 2014. I want to tell the kind of stories you don't hear in the news very often or at all. Stories like domestic violence in the Dominican Republic and how in six years there have been 1,336 gender relates homicides. I'm a filmmaker, theater producer, and comedian based in New York City.
