I was 6 years old when my parents bought home a brand new Panasonic VHS Camcorder. Being able to film and watch back everything we did that day was the greatest feeling in the world. I've made it my mission to make as many movies as I could growing up. To me, there is nothing more powerful than capturing the world and preserving moments. I’ve dedicated my life to providing professional video services and helping people remember their most important days. Today I work for a national television company producing a TV show with a 4 person crew, as well as run my own videography company producing primarily wedding videos.

My company, Harken Productions, has been around since 1997 producing social issue oriented videos and running a youth media program since 2002. My first film Death: A Love Story premiered in documentary competition at Sundance in 1999, won several festivals, played national PBS, and is now available in over 400 colleges and universities here and in Canada. I now produce shorts, video for business websites, civically engaged media with youth, and for all who want to engage in critical and civic engagement. But I'd say a majority of my experience has come with making short films and documentaries with my friends, shooting any and everything for fun, plus going to film school at Portland State University didn't hurt. Additionally, I was the Senior Videographer at PSU.tv for 4 years and that was probably my intro to the professional-creative world. My name is Laura Lechner, and I'm a film director. I am currently working as a digital video producer at Columbia University in New York, while also freelancing as a videographer, art director, script supervisor, and editor. Andrew Caringi is a freelance photographer and filmmaker. In the summer of 2015 he interned as a photographer and video reporter for Brooklyn Deep, a digital journalism platform that chronicles neighborhood change in Central Brooklyn. In December of 2015 he received his M.A. in Journalism from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, where he specialized in urban reporting and visual storytelling. His first film, Super Bronx Boys, debuted this December for an audience in Midtown, Manhattan. The short documentary film follows the lives of three indie game developers from the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. He currently resides in New York City.
