1 reviewOriginally from France, Shaan now lives in New York, NY, after residency in Montreal, QC, and San Diego, CA. With a B.A. in Sociology, and a master in Communication (specializing in emotional and non-verbal communication), Shaan has always been passionate about human interactions. Shaan is a globetrotter, always carrying her cameras to immortalize serendipitous situations. Capturing people's habits and emotions are her main interests, and even though she speaks 4 languages, she best expresses herself through images, whether they are still or moving (see demo reel). Shaan experiments with a diversity of techniques to portray a story in the most authentic way. She believes that images have the strongest impact in communicating ideas and emotions across borders. With an advertising agency background, Shaan co-founded WediaWix in 2011, a film production company that allows her to produce her own projects. In 2014, after a successful crowdfunding campaign, she shot and directed her first long feature documentary during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil (broadcasted on TV in France and China). Since then, Shaan shot, directed and produced a variety of documentaries, from short to long or series that were broadcasted on TV and online. In 2016, she wrote and directed her first short film entitled “Thin Lines” (35min) that tells the inspiring story of a singer who meets a Deaf man. Shaan has directed a few short films and music videos who won festival nominations and awards. After over 3 years in San Diego as an executive video producer for Helium Films USA, Shaan moved back to New York where she works as a freelance film director, producer and AD.

After athletically peaking in high school and tearing some ligaments along the way, Chris (aka Doza) discovered a passion for photography and motion. He has now shot stills and video content, often simultaneously, for some of the most recognizable brands and publications in the world utilizing his signature production style of truthful, intimate, documentary story telling. When he's not running around photographing and filming athletes such as Olympic Gold Medalist Aly Raisman or NFL Superstar JJ Watt, he travels to countries like Rwanda to document how sports are improving lives in developing communities. Chris' work documenting the rise of basketball in Rwanda for NGO, Shooting Touch, has been recognized by the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace and his photos have been published within hall of fame sports writer Jackie MacMullan's essay titled "Using Basketball to Break the Cycle of Poverty and Disease in Rwanda" for ESPN.

I am a woman, Brazilian and mother of two beautiful women. It was while contemplating the mountains in Utah (USA), as an exchange student, that I discovered photography. Graduated in Social Sciences, I carry with me an interest in the human complexity that is expressed in my way of seeing, within photography. My main performance for almost 16 years. I have already contributed to the main design magazines in the country. I travelled through the Brazilian hinterland, mapping and recording popular art @projetosertoes. I photograph for renowned architecture and interior offices in Brazil. And more. Telling stories with eyes. And look again, every detail. The subtlety of feeling through what I see connected me to the philosophy of yoga. From the union of these two impulses, photography and yoga, my authorial project emerged, which can be seen at @ser.manas. Currently, in Connecticut (USA) expanding the frontiers of work, I carry in me the welcoming look of Latin America.

I am a print journalist and aspiring photojournalist based in Boston, with training in radio and video production. I hold Bachelor's degrees in English and Biology from Davidson College and a Master's degree in Science Writing from MIT. I have written stories for New Scientist, Harvard Magazine, MIT Tech Review, EMBLetc, and other online and print publications, and have performed at Storycollider in Boston. I love telling stories about a wide variety of topics, especially anything that involves traveling (I have traveled to every continent except Antarctica, but that's on my list)! My dream assignment would take me to Cuba to get an insider's look at what that country and culture have been like under US sanctions for the last 50 years, so that I can document that way of life before it changes drastically following changing political mandates. I'm looking forward to helping you tell your story!
