As a Visual Storyteller I am looking for that sweet-spot of marrying excellent storytelling with high end cinematic visuals that let the viewer dive deeper into the story and connect in a way that wouldn't otherwise be possible. Realizador de video nacido en la frontera norte de México, Joey Muñoz empieza su carrera con videoclips y documentales experimentales del underground musical. I started working as a camerawoman on audiovisual projects for television. Since 2011, I have worked on a variety of socially conscious news coverage and short documentaries for television. During 2012-2013, I worked as a production assistant for “Pachamama”, a 12-program series of short documentaries about the fight for the land between transnational companies and peasant and indigenous communities in 8 countries, produced by TeleSUR. In 2014, I worked on the edition of a 7-program series of short documentaries on the forced disappearance of 43 students from Ayotzinapa Mexico, as well as the political, economic and social implications of this still-unsolved state crime, also produced by TeleSUR. In 2015, I filmed and edited “Taking Power in Tecoanapa”, a 10-minute short documentary on the citizen´s political initiative of setting up a people´s council in the State of Guerrero in México, produced by AJ+. In 2016, I wrote the script of “The Road of Resistance”, a web documentary on the indigenous resistance and the fight for the defense of the land in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, produced by TeleSUR. I have successfully worked in almost all stages of the production process: pre-production, shooting and editing.

Alicia Fernández is a freelance Mexican visual journalist and producer from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico border with the United States. As a photographer, she was part of the El Diario de Juarez team that was awarded the Maria Moors Cabot Prize in 2011 for their narco violence report in Juarez, Mexico. Her images and visual reports have appeared in media such as Al Jazeera, BBC London, Associated Press, Brut, Verdens Gang, Der Spiegel, among others. Alicia also has been a staff multimedia producer, as well as a photography and video editor for the Spanish newspaper El Pais in its Latin American version. She has been a fixer, field producer and contributor with international media, independent journalists and researchers. Also, she has contributed to training and protection organizations for journalists such as the International Center For Journalists (ICFJ) and Article 19. Also she is a fellow for the International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF). She has worked on independent projects such as The Red Note podcast, as researcher and interviewer. She also works as a consultant for journalistic multimedia projects and workshops instructor. Along with Andalusia K. Soloff had coordinated and created the project: "Fixers, opening paths to global journalism", in order to encourage the local journalism that supports international reporting.

I am a photographer, writer and filmmaker dedicated to telling stories about the changing relationship between people and nature. I am from the United States, but was based in Southeast Asia for the past four years documenting wildlife trafficking and environmental issues, and received a National Geographic Explorers grant there to document the unique relationship between people and elephants in Myanmar. Both my photography and writing have been featured in National Geographic magazine, and I have also contributed to National Geographic Television, The Discovery Channel, and several news agencies.
