I am a Venezuelan filmmaker and editor based in Mexico City since 2018. I have a degree in Social Communication - Audiovisual Arts from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. My last short film “Don’t worry”, is nominated for best documentary short at the 65 Ariel awards, and had its world premiere at IDFA 2021, was an official selection at La Habana, Guadalajara and Malaga Film Festival; winning “best mexican documentary short film” at the 25th Guanajuato Film Festival. My fiction short film "Bolas Criollas", filmed in Venezuela in 2017, was selected in many international film festivals, including the 22nd Brussels Short Film Festival and the 22nd Cine Las Americas Film Festival. Recently the film was added to the catalog of Retina latina. Between 2018 and 2019 I made the documentary series "Never again in Venezuela", which premiered in its theatrical version at the One World Film Festival 2020, and was awarded with a Suncoast Emmy in the Documentary category - Topical. Between 2018 and 2021 I worked in the news portal Infobae, where I contributed by creating the audiovisual team and I was in charge of the production of branded content. For the last few years I have collaborated as a producer and filmmaker for different agencies and production companies in Mexico city.

I was born in Mexico City in 1983. Inspired by Wim Wenders, I studied Philosophy as a degree to become a filmmaker. I then studied filmmaking in Paris in the École Superiéure d´études cinématographiques (L´ESEC) and specialized in documentary filmmaking, My final project was a documentary I co-directed on love and sensuality in the elderly. I then studied a Masters in Communication at The National University in Mexico (UNAM). Since film school I´ve been directing anthropological documentaries in Mexico, I´ve written and filmed short films, one of which I shot in Berlin while I lived there as an exchange student. I´ve also worked as a script girl, a cinematographer and as an independent photographer. Currently I´m directing a documentary on Germany and Mexico, where I follow 5 PHD students studying in Berlin and Mexico City. I´m also preparing my first feature film and applying for a scholarship for a documentary on one of the merchant leaders in the Tepito market in Mexico City.

Originally from Argentina, Florencia is also Mexican and American by adoption. ​She holds a BA in Political Science from Buenos Aires University, and a MFA in filmmaking from Maine Media College. ​Florencia is the author of The Marching Quixotes, an 81´ documentary about members of the15-M movement that she followed from 2011 to 2014. The film is due to come out in 2016. ​She co-wrote, directed and produced Navidad, a narrative short which premiered at the Cinequest Film Festival in 2015, and continued screening at the Sunscreen Film Festival in Florida, as well as at the Guanajuato Film Festival in Mexico. ​Her non-fiction work started with Digna Merced, which won 1st prize at the Crystal Screen in Mexico in 2005. Later, she co-directed Bird Sounds, which also won 1st prize at the Corto Cinema Film Festival in Mexico Cit. And in 2009, Florencia co-directed As a Man Thinketh, which was screened at the Crossroads Delta Film Festival in Mississippi, during 2009. ​

Soy etnólogo, dedicado a la antropología visual y al documental, con más de 20 documentales realizados. A lo largo de mi trayectoria de trabajo en el México indígena me he topado con personajes muy interesantes que bien podrían ser protagonistas de historias de vida maravillosas: culturales, rituales, festivas, de vida productiva, de organización comunitaria, etc. Es importante destacar que empece a trabajar con los pueblos indígenas y los medios desde la década de los noventas y he tenido la oportunidad de conocer a la mayoría de los pueblos indígenas de México. En este momento estoy trabajando un proyecto para la realización de una serie (13 programas) de cortos documentales sobre los pueblos indígenas mexicanos que se encuentran en riesgo de perder su idioma. El tema tentativo es "Lenguas indígenas en peligro de extinción" Si es de su interés les puedo mandar una propuesta para su realización.

Hello, I am an almost 30 year old video producer. My realtime experience started at 21 when I started to film people around me with little stories of their own, about what the dedicated their time. My favorite one is in my profile, please go ahead. To be honest in the past I struggled with having good equipment, I spend a lot of money in my studies. I've worked for several production houses, most of it in private sector and with no social impact whatsoever. Still, It has been rewarded in the sense of experience and skill training. I am a Mexican filmmaker, photographer and producer. My works range from Internet clips to full documentary series for networks such as; MTV, Discovery and Fusion Network. Working in the industry for 10 years has provided me with the opportunity to hone my skills throughout the entire development process, from writing and storyboarding to directing and producing. Livia Radwanski is a Brazilian photographer and filmmaker based in Mexico City since 2007. She received a BFA in Film/Animation/Video at Rhode Island School of Design in the United States in 2006. She worked at Pochron Studios, a fine art photography printing and retouching studio in New York City before moving to Mexico in 2007 where she has been developing long-term documentary multimedia projects on themes such as urbanism, identity and religion in Latin America. Commercially she works within the architecture/cultural and film industries. Koral Carballo (Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico, 1987) is a Mexican documentary photographer and visual artist based between Veracruz, Puebla and Mexico City. Her work investigates new visual representations of themes that intersect her life/historical context, such as the violence of the drug war and the concept of postcolonial identity. Her photographic style is linked between poetic metaphor and cinematography working from an anti-patriarchal, decolonial and collaborative stance. Her work has received the National Geographic Society Grant, Catchlight Global Fellow, POY LATAM's Nuestra Mirada award in second place, the Woman Photograph and Getty Images Grant, the Open Society Foundations Moving Walls 25 Fellowship, and received first place in the portfolio review of the Latin American Photography Colloquium (2017). Uno llega al periodismo por el camino que menos se lo espera y cuando reacciona, ya no puede dejar de contar las historias que se van volviendo imprescindibles de narrar. La realidad se impone y las formas de contarla se multiplican. De esta forma lo que en un principio era la intención de contar las historias que proponía mi imaginación terminó siendo lo que la vida me ponía enfrente. Y así me volví reportero. Primero para prensa escrita y casi al mismo tiempo para televisión. Entonces cámara en mano salí a recorrer mi estado: Veracruz. Sin embargo el enamoramiento duró poco: la realidad de la censura y el embute fueron llevándome al hastío hasta que junto con otro amigo decidimos fundar un proyecto de video comunitario: Teocelo Te Ve, junto con una de las radios comunitarias más perseverantes de México, Radio Teocelo. Los caminos me llevaron a una corresponsalía nacional y ahora desde el Distrito Federal y después de cubrir la fuente de derechos humanos, decido volverme freelancer.

For the last 20 years I have been working as a photojournalist, photo editor, video journalist, writer, publisher and multimedia editor for wire agencies, newspapers and television channels, with a wide range of topics within Nicaragua, the Central American region and the Caribbean. I am currently working as a photo editor in the Latin America Associated Press photo desk. As a multimedia pioneer I have lead the development of Nicaraguas first and foremost multimedia department. This multimedia department was until recently, the leader in the region. I am fully bilingual and my experience in the field varies from being a single, in-country photojournalist, all the way up to managing multiple teams during intense coverage of news events, to developing, modernizing and creating new departmentsand media platfroms in the newsroom.
