Featuring roll-in street level entry, Firelight Studio is the epitome of flexibility and convenience for your production. Designed from the ground up by filmmakers, the front of the space features a working lounge for clients and production staff with complimentary WiFi and printer, a hair and make up station, a private dressing room, and a kitchenette. Winner of a Student Academy Award and six Emmys, I am a Spanish director, producer, and director of photography based in New York. As a TV producer, I received six Emmy® Awards for my work at the cultural magazine Nueva York (CUNY TV), about Latinos in New York. I am also the co-producer and director of the video content of the transmedia documentary project “Sonic Trace”, produced by Anayansi Diaz-Cortes with support of ITVS, NEA, Cal Humanities, KCRW, AIR, and PBS. As part of this project, I recently finished the documentary "Still Dreaming", which will premiere on PBS. As a director of photography, I have shot several documentary projects, including "Of Kites and Borders" (Dir. Yolanda Pividal, Winner of Best Documentary at the San Diego Film Festival, 2013), “Sloan at 75” (Dir. Lisa Beth Kovetz, 2011, winner of a Communicator Award). On a weekly basis I compile, edit and shape entertainment packages tailored for specific current first run features at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I also regularly do branded "Welcome" and "Our Feature Begins" as well as other specialty intros and promos. I have been there since it's opening in 2010. The style and format of these pre-feature entertainments were designed by me. I am available for other creative opportunities in creative content and video editing. Michael Premo is an artist, journalist and documentary storyteller. He has created, produced and presented original works of art and media with numerous companies including the Peabody Award winning StoryCorps. He’s a co-creator and Executive Producer of Sandy Storyline (www.sandystoryline.com), a participatory documentary that collects and shares stories about the impact of Hurricane Sandy on our neighborhoods, our communities and our lives. The project won the inaugural Transmedia Award from the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. I'm a documentary filmmaker of over 15 years, that seeks to lend my skills to those that are making change, but who's voices may not be heard. I am a filmmaker, producer, designer, musician, and art educator from Argentina based in New York City. After my graduation from the Faculty of Architecture in 2000, I moved to Barcelona, Spain, where I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Film Production from the University of Barcelona. In 2004, I co-founded Colectivo Piloto with the aim of promoting culture and education through the use of audiovisual resources and media technologies. Since then, I have been honored to work with several NGOs, institutions and governmental agencies, including Save the Children, Red Cross, Oxfam Intermón, and the Barcelona City Council. Born in Italy, Luigi received a scholarship to study filmmaking in the U.S. in 2008. Since then he worked on countless of projects worldwide, from features to commercials, fashion film, music videos, corporate and animations. Luigi is an AIC and IMAGO member, a Local 600 Camera Operator, an Industry Experience Roster member, and an ASC Mentee. In 2015 he was the cinematographer of the Japanese film "Cloud Kumo", which won the 2016 Student Academy Award Silver Prize and the 2016 Golden Eagle Award. Nyier Abdou is an American video journalist, filmmaker and multimedia producer. A longtime newspaper reporter, she worked as a print reporter based in Cairo for more than six years. In 2005, she moved back to the U.S. to join The Star-Ledger newspaper, where she worked for nine years and moved from print to video journalism, going on to produce award-winning documentaries and news features with the paper. She is comfortable shooting hard news, news features and long-form documentary and edits in both Premiere and Final Cut Pro.
