Sheena Vaught is a filmmaker from southeastern North Carolina. Growing up and having a passion for film and storytelling, Sheena earned a Film Studies degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she learned much about the history of cinema, production and film criticism. Sheena's first film that she wrote, directed and composed was an experimental film entitled Water (2010). Sheena went on to direct two documentaries, Colestine (2011) and God In My Fingers, the latter still being a works-in-progress, screened at the Cucalorus Film Festival as well as the Cultural Spirit Online Film Festival. Having her heart set on narrative directing, Sheena pursued a career as a script supervisor, working on feature films such as Frat Brothers (2013), The Perfect Summer (2013) & Adrenaline (2015) to name a few. As a script supervisor Sheena was able to learn first hand about film directing and is now writing and producing more short films to market herself as a viable director. Her first narrative project, titled The Fervent, completed filming in June 2016. Sheena is currently in development for her newest project Scarlet Reign/

After earning degrees in Media Communications and Spanish at North Carolina State University in 2004, I began my career in video production working as an editor and camera operator on a cooking show in Raleigh, NC.In 2005, I moved to Charleston, SC where I began working as an editor and producer for Litton Entertainment (now known as Hearst Media). Over the course of several years, I worked on a variety of nationally televised docu-reality TV series, including Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan: Family Edition, Calling Dr. Pol, The Brady Barr Experience, The Great Doctor Scott, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Hidden Heroes, Exploration with Richard Weise, Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller, and Hometeam. In 2011, I founded Palmetto Coast Media and began creating videos for businesses and events all over Charleston. In 2012, we co-created, co-produced, directed, filmed and edited a docu-reality TV series called “Give Me Shelter,” featuring the Charleston-based animal shelter Pet Helpers. The series aired on Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo, Hulu and Animal Planet in over 100 countries. In 2019, a promo video we created for Pet Helpers was voted by locals as Best Locally Produced Video in Charleston City Paper. It has been an exciting journey to work with so many incredible clients and partners over these past 12 years!

My name is Ali McField. I started my journey as a filmmaker 10 years ago. After a long day of working construction I came home and my wife asked me, "What are you passionate about? What do you dream about?" A few weeks later I was enrolled in college taking evening and lunch break classes. My journey took me across the country. I worked full time and took full time classes and I couldn't have done it without the support of my wife and 5 children. I have created in a variety of films settings and have experience working with a variety equipment from low end to highest end. I have created videos in the new setting and on the go minute by minute with quick turn around editing. I have created short films and documentaries. Experiencing and working in every roll in the filmmaking process gives me understanding and perspective in each step of the filming process. I own a Canon C300 Mark II and collaboration equipment for filmmaking. I own various editing programs.

Operational since 2010, We Connected Productions, LLC. is a faith-based independent webshow, film, video production company based in Columbia, SC, co-owned by Rhonda and Sharee. Hello, My name is Jay James and I've been working in the visual medium for more than 6 years. My main skill is boom operator, sound recording and when it is needed I can do Foley. It all began with assisting my videographer friend on commercial jobs for businesses around North Carolina. It was just simple grip work but I enjoyed being apart of the projects. Eventually my same friend began to do documentaries and later feature films, which is where I started to help with sound. To date I have assisted in capturing audio for seven featured films for him. Along the way I have worked on other feature films, corporate projects and commercials. Because of these opportunities I am able to own all my equipment and be proficient in using it. I'm a photojournalist at a tv news station in Charleston, SC. I've been preparing to go on my own for the last year and now that time is drawing near. I prefer feature stories about individuals that are stories of hope, endurance, strength of character or inspiration. I love stories about people who go at it alone, or maybe they've stepped away from the noise to find peace in a strange or different kind of hobby or a profession. To find these types of stories, it requires me to engage people all types of people. When I load my gear back into my truck and drive back to edit, sometimes I can't drive fast enough, dreamimg of weaving together a story that people will love and be touched by.
