Sarah Nelson is an award winning independent filmmaker. She is a Director and Editor at Constant Movement Cinema. She completed and received a B.A. in Philosophy from Salisbury University in 2005 and an M.A. in Film and Video from American University in 2013. Previously she worked for National Geographic Channel as an Associate Producer before setting out on her own to become a freelance filmmaker. She currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband Thomas Huggins, who she frequently collaborates with, as he is the Director of Photography on many of their projects. My schooling is in TV/Broadcasting and I brought that to the three daily newspapers for which I worked full-time for eight years after college. Five years ago I became an independent photographer and have been relied upon to help shoot numerous projects for businesses, schools, universities and two HBO Documentaries, The Cheshire Murders, which aired in 2013 and The Newburgh Sting which was nominated for the News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism. I am a cinematographer and editor who recently relocated from Shanghai to New York. I have worked on a range of projects including music videos, commercials, and marketing work for Harvard, MIT, Google, Twitter, the US Nay, Reebok, and Martha Stewart. Documentaries have always interested me and this is a field I would love to get into. I would enjoy searching for the story wherever it may lead and would not mind facing dangerous situations to get it. Traveling is one of my favorite activities, having visited 31 countries across 4 continents (including 38 US States, 21 Chinese provinces, and 20 Philippine islands) and having lived in 4 countries on 3 continents. Jika González is an award-winning documentary filmmaker from Mexico City. She is based in New York where she works as a freelance cinematographer and producer. She holds a M.S. from the Columbia Journalism School where she occasionally teaches video and photography. Robin Cloud is a New York City-based comedian, writer, and director. She is the former host of BK Live, a daily show that showcases Brooklyn’s art, culture, and political scenes. She has been featured in Diva Magazine, GO magazine’s “Top 100 Women We Love,” Time Out New York’s “Quote of the Week”, and the Washington Post. Robin graduated cum laude from Howard University's School of Communications where she studied film under Haile Gerima. In addition, she has studied cinematography at the School of Visual Arts. Her first narrative short, Out Again, was executive produced by Refinery29 as part of their New Fronts Director Series and will be released in the Spring of 2017. Chris Manley studied anthropology and theater in college. He views anthropology as the study of the human condition from the outside and theater as that study from within. Levi Walton is a Brooklyn based multidisciplinary visual artist, native to the tropics of Panama. His work has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Dazed Magazine, VSCO, Suspend Magazine and others. He dabbles between editorial, portrait, and documentary photography, with a soft spot for unusual, one of a kind subjects. Joshua Simon has a degree in sociology from Brandeis University, and has been working in film and television for the last 5 years, with experience in lighting, sound, shooting, directing, producing and post-production -- sometimes all at once!
