Michael D.
Denver, CO, USA
I am a Colorado-based investigative journalist and have nearly three dozen honors, including two national Edward R. Murrow awards, two national Associated Press Television-Radio Awards, a Society of Professional Journalists (Sigma Delta Chi) award and a duPont-Columbia silver baton, all for groundbreaking investigative broadcast stories (both as a reporter and editor). I also directed and produced the independent documentary film, "Recovering," about veterans recovering from the wounds of two wars (Become Films). My work has appeared on NPR, Reveal, CBS News programs, Salon.com, The New York Times online and many Colorado news outlets. I've consulted to "60 Minutes," "48 Hours Mystery," and the "CBS Evening News" and worked full-time as an investigative television producer for Denver's ABC-7News. What kinds of stories do I hunt for? The kind that make a difference.
