I am a Colorado-based investigative journalist and have nearly three dozen honors, including two national Edward R. Murrow awards, two national Associated Press Television-Radio Awards, a Society of Professional Journalists (Sigma Delta Chi) award and a duPont-Columbia silver baton, all for groundbreaking investigative broadcast stories (both as a reporter and editor). I also directed and produced the independent documentary film, "Recovering," about veterans recovering from the wounds of two wars (Become Films). I've been filmmaking and making shorts since I was a young lad with friends, dipped my toes in more tech knowledge in HS and studied it in college for a Film Studies degree. Making films more seriously and knowing the direction I wanted to take came with traveling after college. So, with the camera rolling, I found interesting stories to follow and during a two-year backpacking trip and a small kit with everything i'd need to produce content, I wore all the filmmaker's hats. One year ago, I finally took the plunge to start an LLC and begin assembling a more professional and range of productions to build more adequate strength in the field. The conclusion is an open mind toward filmmaking, but with a drive toward more documentary-styled content.

I am a journalist and a filmmaker who recently graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with my Master's of Arts in Journalism. I have been creating short film documentaries largely focused on varying parts of the city of Denver; these include the Hip-Hop music scene as well as the larger music scene.
