Director, Journalist, Filmmaker
My storytelling reshapes perceptions of Africans. Combining a genuine connection to people with my careful craft in constructing stories, I produce emotionally engaging work. I enjoy complicating and deepening how we see ourselves as Africans.
My career has taken me across the African continent, as well as to the Middle East and the United States working with organisations including Vice News, Al Jazeera English, France24, TRT World, the Music In Africa Foundation, Public Radio International and eNews Channel Africa. I have a Masters in Journalism from Columbia University in New York.
In 2017, together with partner Nick Alexandra, I co-founded Seithati Media, an audio-visual storytelling company producing film, video, television, and audio content. We have done work for clients including the UN Human Rights Office, Amnesty International, Goethe Institut, Music In Africa Foundation, Motsepe Foundation and Global Citizen.
