Katie G. Nelson is an award-winning journalist, photographer and filmmaker from Minneapolis, MN. She covers human rights, racial justice and global health in the United States and East Africa. She is currently based in New York City, NY. Katie’s work has been published by The New York Times, National Geographic, BBC, Al Jazeera, Frontline PBS, The Telegraph, Associated Press and Public Radio International. Currently, Katie is most well known for her visual coverage of George Floyd’s murder for The New York Times. Leah Galant is a Jewish filmmaker and Fulbright Scholar based in New York whose storytelling focuses on unexpected narratives that challenge perceptions. In 2021 she was recognized as one of DOC NYC’s 40 under 40. While at Ithaca College in 2015 she was named one of Variety’s "110 Students to Watch in Film and Media” for her work on THE PROVIDER that follows a traveling abortion doctor in Texas (SXSW 2016, Student Emmy Award) and BEYOND THE WALL about a formerly incarcerated individuals re-entry process. She was a Sundance Ignite and Jacob Burns Fellow where she created DEATH METAL GRANDMA (SXSW 2018) about a 97 year old Holocaust survivor named Inge Ginsberg who sings death metal which won “Best Documentary” at the American Pavilion at Cannes Film Festival, and is a NY Times Op Doc. Daniel Stephens studied filmmaking in the early 1990’s at Loyola University (New Orleans) and the University of South Florida. Subsequently he decided that the best place to apply his storytelling skills was the booming new Internet security industry that blossomed in the mid 1990’s. Eight years later Daniel realized his mistake: filmmakers should make films, not firewalls. In 2000, Daniel left the company he co-founded to return to filmmaking. In the intervening years, he has served as the Director of Photography and producer for numerous music videos, commercials, and short and feature films. He is particularly inspired by the verisimilitude of the unpredictable and feels these moments are the foundation of exceptional storytelling. Daniel is deeply passionate about the planet's resources, both environmental and human. He is particularly engaged in the field of social justice and often works with non-profits specializing in this area to document their work and inform the general public about it through film and multi-media. His work with PopTech has taken him across the globe, from Nairobi to Haiti and from Iceland to the streets of Chicago to document and create stories of social change and social justice. In 2008, Daniel founded the production company goodfocus, specifically to work with non-profits and sustainability-focused companies. As an early adopter of the B-corp structure, goodfocus' bottom line is focused on social and environmental impact instead of financial return. This model, along with Daniel's freelance work, enables goodfocus to produce films that shine a light on organizations that might otherwise lose the opportunity to document their work through film. Most recently, Daniel shot the feature film, 'Fix It Alexis' directed by the incredible Elizabeth Spear in the delightful metrop of Austin, Texas. His documentary ‘There We Were,’ which tells the story of the recording of James Taylor’s latest album, ‘Before This World,’ was recently released worldwide. Daniel is currently preparing to shoot and the feature film ‘I Am John’, helmed by the incomparable Elizabeth Spear and is producing the series '26 Words,' a visual delight for future word geeks. Joe Hill is a journalist, photographer, and media producer. He is currently an Associate Producer for Vice News Tonight on HBO. Joe began his professional career as the founder and Executive Director of The Unexpected Laboratory, a creative production company that confronted current affairs with multimedia storytelling. Now called Round Room Image, his company focuses on international nonfiction media production. He just returned from shooting a feature film in Venezuela and from working for the Witness Program of Al Jazeera Network in Doha, Qatar. He has filmed educational videos with the Deaf community in Ethiopia, photographed political rallies in Pakistan, and has advanced Spanish language skills from his time in Cuba and Chile. Carey is a photojournalist and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY. After ten action-packed years as a staff photographer at the Sun Sentinel, Fresno Bee, Desert Sun and Auburn Journal, she went independent in 2011 to pursue work about women around the world. She has told stories about gender-based violence in Papua New Guinea, child marriage in Nepal, sex trafficking in Seattle, meth addiction and childbirth in California, street harassment in New York and domestic violence in Florida. Over the last 18 years, I have worked in almost every field of film, TV and video production and television journalism, and have spent the last nine years managing my own news and media production company. I have an excellent knowledge of the industry, as well as a proven track record of running a company and managing staff, projects and budgets. I have lived and worked in many different countries, all over the world, producing anything from news and feature stories, to sport, to branded content and everything in between. My experience overseas has given me a truly unique perspective on global current affairs and has fostered a deep interest in exploring every story I come across from as many different perspectives as I can see. I also have experience of working in conflict zones, covering major riots in China in 2008 and 2009, and I was in Libya for one month, during the fall of Tripoli, working for APTN. As well as possessing exceptional writing skills, my work in TV and new media, has given me a unique skill set, enabling me to get a message out to the widest possible audience, in the most engaging way and often to a tight budget. Working as a video journalist/producer, I have acquired further skills as a story-teller. I am an excellent lighting cameraman and video editor, filming on a wide range of cameras and formats and able to script and edit to tight deadlines. I am also a skilled Steadicam operator, with my own rig, suitable for most requirements. Post-production-wise, I consider myself an expert in the use of Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects, as well as several other programs in the Creative Suite. I also regularly edit with Final Cut Pro, Avid and Davinci Resolve. I am equally at home in the pre-production office, in front or behind the camera, in the edit suite or in a live studio environment. Michael is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and editor based in Brooklyn, NY. He is the director and producer of WEB (2013) which chronicles the experience of remote villages in the Andes Mountains and Amazon Jungle of Peru receiving Internet access for the first time. WEB won the Audience Award at the 2013 DOC NYC Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize in Documentary at the 2014 Atlanta Film Festival. Michael's first film, The Last Survivor, follows the lives of survivors of four different genocides and mass atrocities. The Last Survivor premiered at the 2010 Oxford Film Festival where it was named Best Documentary and won the Audience Award for Best Film. It went on to play in over 250 venues around the world. Michael's short films have appeared on the homepages of the NY Times, Wired and AOL.com.

I'm a shooter, producer, editor and journalist focused on Documentary and branded content. My goal is to create accessible educational media that connects people with issues surrounding the environment and culture. Previously I worked as a Producer at ABC News in New York helping develop a mobile news show. I also produced videos in the field including covering dragon boating in Northern China, Yo-Yo Ma's Bach Project in DC, the super blood moon from Taos, New Mexico and the total solar eclipse in Argentina. As a frequent contributor to The Boston Globe I've produced videos for their BG Brand Lab as well as done editorial work in the field covering the 2017 eclipse in Nashville, and following the 2019 New England Patriots' football season. Other projects include shooting for Greenpeace, Giorgio Armani (SXSW 2017), Vox Media, and a number of independent documentaries.
