Mariano is an Emmy nominated documentary director, producer and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, he came to New York City, 13 years ago. Until recently, and for the past five years, he worked as an in house filmmaker at CNN’s documentary unit “Great Big Story” where he made some of the most cinematic (and highest viewed) videos on the internet. Before CNN, Mariano worked at VICE Media for 5 years, creating original content about food, music, news, travel, and culture.
