Maria is a director, producer and cinematographer based in New York City. She was most recently a producer on National Geographic's "Explorer" series. In 2011, her fllm "Sarabah", premiered at the 2011 Movies That Matter Film Festival, winning the Matter of ACT prize for Best Documentary. It screened at forty festivals around the world, has been broadcast on Link TV in the US, France and Sweden and won the She CINE Golden Eagle Award for Independent Television Documentary in 2012. Nicole Teeny is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Nicole started NYU film school having never seen an R rated movie and only 1.5 PG-13 films (she grew up a community that censored media). While in undergrad, for her first feature documentary, Nicole turned the camera on her own community for BIBLE QUIZ, a coming-of-age doc about the evangelical sport of Bible memory. BIBLE QUIZ won the Slamdance Grand Jury Award (and 9 other Grand Jury festival awards), played on Netflix, theatrically in seven cities at Alamo Drafthouse movie theaters, on Kanopy, on the Sundance Channel Global in 20+ countries, and was selected for the US State Department’s “American Film Showcase”. Hollywood Reporter called it "instantly lovable" and the LA Times said it was “Smart, funny, and disarming”. Nicole followed that beat and is in post-production on her second feature documentary, BULLETPROOF STOCKINGS, about the first all-female Hasidic rock band. It won the Doc-a-chusetts Pitch, LEF Moving Image grant and Cambridge art grants, and was a finalist at Fork Films and Chicken & Egg. Nicole also makes documentary shorts and series. THE WRITER exhibited at 2015 Viennale and over 50 international galleries and museums as a part of Harun’s Farocki’s “Labour in A Single Shot”. Her branded docu-series COMMUNAL FUTURES about collectives with The Collective featured a queer mosque, a makerspace, and an ecovillage. Nicole has also worked with The HuffPost (formerly The Huffington Post) and Bloomberg News Video. Her narrative film script PUBLIC POOL was selected for the Berlin Film Festival Short Film Station and also won 5 film festival screenplay awards including Best of at the Pheonix Film Festival & Sacramento Film Festival. She's been an artist in residence at Virginia Creative Center for the Arts, Brush Creek Arts Foundation, Arts Kibbutz, and collaborated with the MIT Media Lab. She's a member of Film Fatales, and Diverse Filmmakers Alliance.

Winner of a Student Academy Award and six Emmys, I am a Spanish director, producer, and director of photography based in New York. As a TV producer, I received six Emmy® Awards for my work at the cultural magazine Nueva York (CUNY TV), about Latinos in New York. I am also the co-producer and director of the video content of the transmedia documentary project “Sonic Trace”, produced by Anayansi Diaz-Cortes with support of ITVS, NEA, Cal Humanities, KCRW, AIR, and PBS. As part of this project, I recently finished the documentary "Still Dreaming", which will premiere on PBS. As a director of photography, I have shot several documentary projects, including "Of Kites and Borders" (Dir. Yolanda Pividal, Winner of Best Documentary at the San Diego Film Festival, 2013), “Sloan at 75” (Dir. Lisa Beth Kovetz, 2011, winner of a Communicator Award). On a weekly basis I compile, edit and shape entertainment packages tailored for specific current first run features at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I also regularly do branded "Welcome" and "Our Feature Begins" as well as other specialty intros and promos. I have been there since it's opening in 2010. The style and format of these pre-feature entertainments were designed by me. I am available for other creative opportunities in creative content and video editing. As well as edit I do graphics and drawn two-dimensional animation. I am a graduate of the L. Jefferey Selznick School of Film Preservation at the George Eastman House in Rochester NY. Michael Premo is an artist, journalist and documentary storyteller. He has created, produced and presented original works of art and media with numerous companies including the Peabody Award winning StoryCorps. He’s a co-creator and Executive Producer of Sandy Storyline (www.sandystoryline.com), a participatory documentary that collects and shares stories about the impact of Hurricane Sandy on our neighborhoods, our communities and our lives. The project won the inaugural Transmedia Award from the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. With Andrew Stern he shot and is producing/directing a photo exhibit and film called Water Warriors, documenting a Canadian First Nation's struggle to protect their water. Tamar Glezerman is an Israeli film and TV writer, director and editor, living and working in NY. Glezerman began her career as a writer at 22, publishing film and literature reviews in top Israeli publications like Haaretz, Yedioth, Maariv and TimeOut Tel-Aviv. Over the last decade she has edited TV shows, documentary films, feature films, trailers, promos and music videos, cutting and directing for clients ranging from indie bands to Disney, dell and Intel, to Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone” interactive video – named music video of the year by Time Magazine. In 2008, Glezerman has edited the vastly popular Israeli documentary Paying for Justice. In 2012, she was closing editor on both Concussion, (Sundance, Berlin, Carloby-Vary), and Patrolman P (DOC NYC). Her mid-length film – The Other War (2008) was broadcast on Israeli TV, to much praise in the press, and screened at Festivals worldwide. She is currently editing the feature doc "Right to Fight".

Marta is a journalist with a decade of experience, a published author, and an educator. Currently based in New York, works as the US Broadcast Correspondent for TVI, Portugal's leading news network. Besides reporting live from the field, Dhanis researches, produces, reports, writes, narrates, and edits every story. I was born in the industrial city Chelyabinsk, Siberian part of Russia. My hometown made the headlines in 2013 as a city, where the Meteor fall down. I have a Bachelor degree in Journalism from Russia and a Master's degree in Journalism from City University of New York. Greetings. I am a filmmaker recently relocated to Brooklyn from Ventura, CA where I studied visual journalism at Brooks Institute. Though I enjoy creating short narratives and music videos, documentary is my passion. I get a great deal of satisfaction from exploring the world around me and by sharing the uncommon or overlooked aspects of humanity. I have worked on several short films involving the homeless, focusing on what it means to be human and a part of society. I have also began shooting for a doc feature about the serious pollution problems plaguing the air and the people of Salt Lake City, which was recently crowned the most polluted city in the world. I am also in preproduction for a documentary about the loss of culture through civilization in Mexico. Though the subjects and locations that I shoot vary greatly, I feel that each of these stories NEED to be communicated for the greater good of humanity. Whether for social change or historical purposes, we can share the world for what it is today. And I look forward to learning more about the local documentary/journalism scene in NYC. Cheers! I'm a documentary filmmaker of over 15 years, that seeks to lend my skills to those that are making change, but who's voices may not be heard. Through my lens, these stories can be shared with the rest of the world and hopefully, access the needed funds, assistance, support, or recognition they need/deserve to make the change that is needed. My projects have taken me from Afghanistan to Haiti to Wall Street to The Rockaways after Hurricane Sandy. In all these stories, there is one common thread and that is hope.....hope for a better world and a belief in humanity, that a better world IS possible. In addition to social justice documentaries, I also like to focus on character driven stories...about unique characters -- that by their personalities, lifestyles, or art, are impacting this world or their community, making it a better, more beautiful and inspiring place.

I am a filmmaker, producer, designer, musician, and art educator from Argentina based in New York City. After my graduation from the Faculty of Architecture in 2000, I moved to Barcelona, Spain, where I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Film Production from the University of Barcelona. In 2004, I co-founded Colectivo Piloto with the aim of promoting culture and education through the use of audiovisual resources and media technologies. Since then, I have been honored to work with several NGOs, institutions and governmental agencies, including Save the Children, Red Cross, Oxfam Intermón, and the Barcelona City Council. The projects I have been designing and supervising over these years have involved the community and have had a tremendous impact on its development. Since 2013, I have been living in New York City where I am experiencing the best ideas in film, music and arts.

Born in Italy, Luigi received a scholarship to study filmmaking in the U.S. in 2008. Since then he worked on countless of projects worldwide, from features to commercials, fashion film, music videos, corporate and animations. When he doesn't work on set, Luigi works as a writer. He completed and sold several screenplays and published novels. Luigi owns camera equipment (RED Komodo 6K) and drones. He's a certified EASA pilot. Luigi is a hard worker appreciated for his great attitude and his uncanny abilities with camera and lights.
