I’m Andy Kelemen, a branded content + commercial director with a specialty in making unusual work. I describe my style as playful and approachable, and I love over-the-top visuals with bold looks. I got my start filming behind the scenes content for Troma Entertainment with Lloyd Kaufman, after which I spent five years at one of the largest political ad agencies in the country, producing and directing national campaigns. I then went full-time as a director, starting a production company in the process. My work has been aired nationally, created millions of social media impressions, and I’ve picked up seven Emmy awards along the way for my documentary work for PBS. In directing content, I’m proud of the work I create, and my ability push the envelope (and push clients) when needed. While it’s tough to brag about personality traits, I’m consistently described as being easy to work with, and a fantastic collaborator. And let’s be honest, when you work on a commercial project - you spend a ton of time together.

My name is Judah David, and I myself am a young black male. I realized that filmmaking was what I wanted to do while in school at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and am now working as a documentarian for One of Us Films in Detroit, MI. Since working for One of Us Films producing stories for Excellent Schools Detroit, I have realized that I love finding stories about young black men that are defying stereotypes and contributing positively to their communities. I also love to find stories that deal with social action and bringing awareness to social injustices. By finding and presenting these stories to the general public, I hope to not only raise awareness about important issues in our community, but also to commend those already making a difference in those issues and to inspire others to do the same. I hope to shine a positive spotlight on my city, long berated for its elevated crime, illiteracy, and poverty levels. There are so many great things about the city I was born and raised in, and I hope that my work will help the world realize that there is hope for a brighter future in the city of Detroit.

Video storytelling within a marketing context is that sweet spot where story is so much more than art – it’s a form of compassion and empathy. Story is what moves people to action, whether it’s to bring people to your website, motivate a donation or sale, or help your customer fall in love with your brand. The stories I want to tell are stories that serve a purpose – that understand the heart of your target audience. What is it that leads your audience to believe in your product or mission? What do they care about? What motivates someone very different than me? It’s story that brings a brand to life. I’ve worked with a wide array of brands, organizations, and artists to bring their purpose and mission to life. To do this well, it’s important to start with parameters – an understanding of the target audience. My favorite projects let me spend some time with the people served by your product/content so that I can tell the story through their eyes. I love working with research and creative teams. Give me parameters or a goal. I can take that and run with it on my own – or we can sit down and plan things together.

I've worked professionally in all departments, making me an asset to any crew. On larger productions, I can communicate across departments and understand how my work fits into the bigger picture; with small teams, my diverse skill set allows me to fill multiple roles. I worked as a production assistant on union shows in the AD and Locations departments for several years. In February 2020, I was hired as a writer's Assistant for WWE SmackDown. Following this, I worked on non-union commercials in locations, G&E, and Art Deparment and as a freelance videographer and audio tech on corporate docu-style digital content. In 2023 I was the tour videographer, editor, and opener for comedian Steve Hofstetter. I currently edit social media content for comedian Sammy Obeid. The videos I've edited have received millions of views on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
