I am an Italy-born freelance multimedia journalist based in Brooklyn, NY. I've covered various national stories for Fusion TV and the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange, shooting and editing video news stories and short documentaries. I covered the Dakota Access Pipeline controversy in 2016, self-producing an award winning 16-minute documentary. I covered the construction of the southern leg of the same pipeline in the swamps of Louisiana, shooting and editing a short documentary for Fusion TV. I covered many Black Lives Matter protests around the country. I produced video stories following the acquittal of officers involved in Freddie Gray's death. I am a filmmaker and producer with a passion for creative non-fiction storytelling. Alex H. Gómez is the Founder, Creative Director, and Director of Photography of Intercultural Productions, a production company specializing in culturally appropriate media. He is a native Colombian and has been in the film and journalism fields for over twenty-five years. Alex is an award-winning documentary director whose work has been shown internationally. In Colombia, he worked as a producer and documentary director at TelePacifico. Although his work covered diverse areas concerning the lives of Colombians, much of it centered on indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities in order to raise awareness about their lives, perspectives, and hopes for the future. After moving to the US, Alex created Intercultural Productions as a way to break down barriers between different cultures and groups of people and use communications tools for promoting equity and understanding. Alex holds a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and social issues and it permeates through everything he does. Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Universidad del Valle in Colombia and a Masters of Communication and Education from 
the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona in Spain. He has taught Hispanic culture at the High School and University level and gives lectures to Universities and organizations on the topic as well. I'm a film director and editor for social documentary and narrative projects worldwide. I freelance for several television production companies in Haiti, Colombia and Guatemala. I am the creative director of Gabriel Films, documentary production company in New York, where I reside. I work since 2010 in Haiti, where I trained a local team of audio-visual production. With his team, I have produced over 65 short documentaries for the work of NGOs in the country and now I'm carrying the first season of a television series called "A FOREST GROWTH IN HAITI". Crystal Kayiza grew-up in Oklahoma and is now a Brooklyn-based documentary filmmaker and 2018 Sundance Ignite Fellow. Her work focuses on pursuing more nuanced and diverse storytelling about Black communities. She is a recipient of the 2017 Jacob Burns Film Center Woman Filmmaker Fellowship. As a Woman Filmmaker Fellow she directed and produced, Edgecombe, a short documentary examining the ways trauma repeats and reinvents itself in a rural Black community in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. After graduating from Ithaca College in 2015 with a degree in Documentary Studies and Production, Crystal spent two years at the ACLU working on racial justice and criminal justice issues. Her documentary work and writing has been featured in The Nation, Scalawag Magazine and OkayAfrica. She received a Heartland Emmy Award in 2012 for her film All That Remains, which profiles Boley, Oklahoma, one of the nation's last all-Black towns.

As an independent filmmaker, I have developed, co-directed and produced a number of projects for Al Jazeera English, NBC Nightly News, NBC News, The Guardian, and others. As a producer most recently at NBC Nightly News, I regularly produced original reporting, appearing on both TV and online and distributed across all NBC News' social platforms. Some of my work included a profile of a Palestinian sprinter on a mission to compete at the Rio Olympic Games; documentary features on Hurricane Katrina survivors and their fight to repair their battered homes a decade later amidst rampant contractor fraud and a profile of a group of New York's cop watchers. Additionally, I spearheaded NBC News' series coverage of the standoff at the Oceti Sakowin Camp in Cannon Ball, North Dakota, over the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline - contributing dozens of written articles, video features, exclusive scoops and live on-the-ground dispatches. Previously, I worked as a featured contributor for The Guardian US where I covered City Hall in New York City. My most consequential piece there was a months-long investigation into abuses within the city's foster care system. In the piece, I exclusively revealed for The Guardian a watchdog report administered by the New York City Public Advocate's Office that the city's Administration for Children's Services (ACS) had for years abused its power in family courts, wrongly taken children into custody and inadequately assisted those it claimed to help. The article, in addition to a subsequent class-action lawsuit on behalf of the victims, led to Gov. Andrew Cuomo announcing four major reforms to ACS in November 2015. Prior to The Guardian, I worked as a general assignment reporter at Quartz, the Atlantic Media’s global business news site, where I covered everything from the rise of the pro-marijuana legalization movement in the US to a series of features on the covert U.S. drone program and the companies and individuals most closely associated with it. My first job in journalism was as an Associate Producer for a special investigative documentary project, “Marijuana Wars” on the social, legal and moral implications of the nation’s 40-year War on Drugs, both in the US and in Latin America, and the rise of the marijuana legalization movement in the United States for “People and Power,” a long form investigative current affairs program broadcast weekly on Al Jazeera English.

Mina Kim Fitzpatrick is a documentary director, editor, and cinematographer. Her directorial work has screened internationally at San Sebastian Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, and Maryland Film Festival, and garnered awards such as the Loni Ding Social Justice Award at CAAMFest and Best Documentary Short at Winchester Film Festival. Mina was a contributing editor in the 2019 Sundance Editing Labs. Her cinematography work was recognized by the American Society of Cinematographers as a finalist for the Haskell Wexler Documentary Award in 2016. Mina graduated with an MFA from Northwestern’s Documentary Media Program as a Hoffman Scholar in 2017. Ambrus Hernadi comes from Budapest, Hungary. He obtained his MA degree in Film Studies and then worked for seven years as Camera Assistant next to many renowned directors and cinematographers such as Roger Deakins, Adam Arkapaw, Dante Spinotti or Robert D. Yeoman. Besides working in the field his socially sensitive nature led him making documentary shorts mostly for online journals and NGOs. Assisting others’ ideas and visions led his own creative impulses began to grow exponentially. He decided to move abroad and study again. He graduated in 2019 at The New School's Documentary Studies class in New York. His thesis short documentary, Pat’s Boys was screened at the DOCNYC in 2019. His main interest is to tell personal stories of people whose modes of self-expression are absorbed in a genuine atmosphere. Throughout this kind of examination, Ambrus thrives to blend the theoretical knowledge of filmmaking and narrative techniques with the practical skills he had gained working behind the camera.
